OCs playing Smash Bros:
Zach: Owns the game. Has been a Smash player since N64. Above-average-good but not to a pro level. Always customize his buttons. Since he’s not that invested in Smash (Altho is certainly enjoying it to become a series fan), playing with friends he’s pretty chill in general. Switch characters often, tho prefer the classics.
Zoey: Not terrible but also not good at all. Typical non-gamer. Flight over Fight. Tons of swearing. Doesn’t know how to do Smash Attacks. Likes items. Loves those chaotic types of matches with a bunch of items (or bombs) (especially bombs) Select characters on random and never study them beforehand.
Aden: Amatuer. Not really all that familiar with video games but has good instincts in fighting genre. Can become better with practice. Selects characters by appearances, ends up playing them mostly from Fire Emblem (Cuz the swords and the looks) Jolly&chill at first but after realizing that he’s mostly losing, he starts getting competitive and goes silent. Yet losing. Asks Zach to let him try out an extended pro controller(assuming this is post-brawl) Still yet losing. The pressure on the grips and buttons gets higher. Zach is afraid that he might actually break his controller. He tried to let him win more but he doesn’t seem be satisfied. Eventually Veneci gets bored watching(or does he really?) and asks him to pause so they can go do something else together and leave the rest of them especially Zach playing at ease
Judley: A lot of her own-brand swearing as usual. Altho due to her hate-love relationship with video games she’s actually quite good. First time playing smash yet still picks the general techniques up really quick. Prolly the only one who can semi-compete Zach. Fairly competitive in general with just a little bit of disastrous bastardery. Plays clever and will never let go whenever she gets a chance to win (Thus becoming the main person that annoys Aden the most during matches) Main on Pokémons and Links.
Veneci: God awfully bad. Not just due to the lack of skill and experience, also that he gets distracted easily (fancy stage gimmicks, assistance figures, etc) and forgets the match. Sometimes even mix up players and forgets where his is at. Selects characters by appearances also, altho with less major taste (monsters mostly) Because he’s so bad at it he ends up backseating a lot (and quite likes it actually) and only occasionally jumps in to play a couple rounds
I actually have a secret pile of hl characters COC (Call of Cthulhu) character sheets including au background stories in mordern settings and stuff because I’m that kind of nerd (and I’ve already played as some of them with my friends tho they didn’t know who they are at the time)
