Here’s this week’s TDP chapter preview! I was debating to give an action scene but...it’s Hitoshi backstory time baby ;)
Hope there’s not a reason for remembering emotional and defining scenes from your past in the middle of a life and death fight...

“Shinso-kun, look at me,” he did, she didn’t look mad or upset, just…tired. Aizawa-san kneeled down, both of her scarred hands coming to rest on his shoulders. “I’m not going to treat you differently. You’re a child, you’re not defined by your quirk.” Her thumbs swept up to his cheeks, wiping away the hot tears that fell from his eyes.
“A-and why not?! Everyone defines me by my quirk. No one stays! No one tells the truth! No one loves me!” He screamed, jostling Princess and trying to wriggle free from her grasp. Aizawa-san held tight and pulled him closer into a hug.
“Take it from one villain quirk to another, you don’t deserve to be treated like a pariah. You’re not defined by your quirk, you’re not doomed to become a villain,” her voice is thick with emotion.
Take it from one villain quirk to another…she…she has a villain quirk?
“W-what’s yours?” Hitoshi whispered into her neck. “Mine’s Brainwashing. If someone responds to me I can take control of their body. I can’t make them do anything super hard but they have to do what I say.”
“Memories-B-Gone! It’s a rather silly name for a scary quirk. If I make eye contact with someone I can erase their memories and they won’t get them back.”
Aizawa-san’s tone was somber but Hitoshi couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of relief. She had as bad a quirk as him…maybe even worse.
And she’s still a hero.
“But they let you be a hero. You’re Eraser Head, right?”
Aizawa-san laughed but it wasn’t a happy one.
“I’m sorry, Shinso-kun. I’m Erasure, not Eraser Head. A vigilante, not a hero.”
He stepped back and she let him go. Shiny tears gathered in her bloodshot eyes.
She wasn’t a hero.
But she saved him.
“You’re my hero,” he muttered petulantly.
