Easy homemade chilled fruit jelly dessert, perfect for cooling down from a hot day and impress your friends with this colorful treat.
In Henrik’s Level 5 Pop’n Sweet Cafe story, Mr. Chrysler gifts Henrik a box of Fruit Jelly, and MC realizes the joy of food. The only fruit MC mentions is strawberry, but with the recipe linked you can make jelly with any sort of fruit.
This recipe forgoes adding chemical or animal-based gelatin and instead uses a product called powdered kanten, which Just One Cookbook writes about in detail here. It’s made from algae and is generally healthier. According to JOC it doesn’t have much of a flavor on its own, which is perfect for being able to focus on the sweetness of the fruit.
One of my favorite things about pulling recipes from Just One Cookbook is the level of detail and step-by-step instruction given to practically every element in a way that is helpful and not overwhelming. It really makes you feel like making something like fruit jelly, no matter how unfamiliar the ingredients, is something doable.
