playing hollow knight. what the fuck business does my shitass dead self have keeping my money!!!
[staring at the ceiling] I've read a couple of fics where kingsoul is a charm from the pale king and the white lady getting married (or some Significant Union) but like. now that I'm thinking about it. pure vessel uses a Lot of soul magic (teleporting, soul pillars, soul daggers, the focus attack...). and we know from playing as ghost that vessels can't generate soul on their own (proven as something that normal people Can do from hornet "regaining" the ability to generate soul-silk). so PV has to be getting that soul from Somewhere. and. well. the vessels are in themselves a significant union between those two, in a manner of speaking. and also kingsoul opens the way to the birthplace of the knight(s?). and the king loved his kid... but that same kid ultimately caused a rift between the king and queen because she couldn't overcome her guilt from the voidification... kingsoul split in two... a gift, held long for one of your kind...........
why tf did ramsey keep matt smh
the women are cooking like they're in the black jacket club and the men are cooking like they've never fuckin touched a stove. i cannot believe this
Another thing is since the team has improved so much, the first match goes a lot faster and it's really nice not only to see concrete improvement but also this pace allows more focus on the other team since we don't have to spend a shit-ton of chapters dealing with protags and their inner monologue
not only that it's actually really nice to see how they take every team seiously
Haikyuu gets more and more satisfying to read in a way Yowapeda doesn't? Like, Yowapeda's all about external factors pushing the protags into dead last, like the whole crash and that guy getting sick so they constantly have to catch up despite being skilled enough that this scenario wouldn't happen without some hard core intervention, so then we constantly have the underdog narrative even though it shouldn't be applicable. On the other hand, Haikyuu pits the team against increasingly stronger opponents, and there's always improvements. There's a fair bit of emphasis on having natural skill/talent as a foundation, but they show a lot of screwups and the characters creating and perfecting techniques. It also helps that in Haikyuu the protags actually lose a lot, in practice matches and in some real matches. In the recent arc-thing, they've been going up against national-level teams for practice matches, and they've lost every game, but there's a steady decrease in point gap. I dunno, it's just really satisfying.
Chapters 74-77 are my favorite chapters hands down there's no way it can get better than the Yachi show
all Yachi all the time
designing posters and gettin' over insecurities
I love her so
if the main character was Yachi or Kiyoko or Yui I would be 500% there for that
