Reason for being in Hell’s Kitchen (if not already an established character there): Felicia Hardy was born in New York, Queens to Walter and Lydia Hardy. The Hardy family were a respectable and well known family of the city, with Walter being a highly successful travelling salesman and Lydia, a socialite who knew who was who and who had what. Things changed however when her father was arrested after it was discovered he wasn’t no salesman but actually a world renowned thief who went by the name Black Cat. Before his arrest, Walter encouraged Felicia to do whatever she desired while her mother often drilled into her she should never come second to no one.
Through school and into Empire State University, Felicia Hardy was a very popular girl. She was a successful athlete, a cheerleader, played on the basketball team and knew how to party, earning her the nickname Party Hardy. However, Felicia was a dedicated if not smart student who just so happened to be a free spirit. She had it all until her relationship with her boyfriend at the time, Ryan, took a nasty turn which resulted in her being date raped.From there, Felicia changed into something else entirely. She was full of anger and frustration for being victimized. She dedicated herself to training whenever she could in martial arts, gymnastics and acrobatics, intent on crafting herself into a weapon of revenge so that when she faced him, he could feel every ounce of her anger with every hit she gave him. After months of preparation, Felicia was ready to get revenge but she would never get it.
She discovered while trying to find him that Ryan was killed due to him drunk driving. This did nothing to quell her anger or frustration. Feeling like everything was being took away from her, Felicia followed in her father’s footsteps and began travelling to train with those he had. As she became the Black Cat, Felicia began stealing for the thrill, fascinated by how alive she felt.
She moved to Hell’s Kitchen where she could operate within the slums. She is a thief but also a Robin Hood like figure.
