9. What are your MC’s plans for the future? Will they keep in touch with their Hogwarts friends?

I answered this one for Wes here! But I will expand a bit and say that the friends he'll keep up with the most are Ominis, Andrew Larson, Anne, Natty, and Garreth. (And Julian, but I don't know that I'd consider him a Hogwarts friend.)

14. How does your MC feel about all the fighting they're tossed into? Do they regret harming their enemies? Justify it? Relish it?

Tristan took it to the chin...on a surface level. He put on a brave face for everyone, but he was terrified. A few months prior, he was just a sheltered rich boy. It shocked him to the core, immediately being tossed into a new world on the brink of war. In response, he tended to just act more recklessly. He struggled to justify his actions on his own behalf, but he held no regrets when it came to defending others.

2. What’s your MC's favourite subject? What do they like about it? Anything they dislike?

Defense Against the Dark Arts! Tristan loves dueling. His mother never allowed him to play fight with his older brothers (even though they were allowed to do so with each other,) and he feels like it gives him a sense of freedom in that regard. He hates doing book work and written exams for DADA.

4. Who's your MC’s favourite professor? What's their dynamic? Anyone they don't get along with?

Even though Herbology is his worst subject, Garlick is actually his favorite professor. The class frustrates him, but she makes it a point to try to explain things in a way he understands, and she's incredibly patient while she does so. She reminds him a lot of his older brother Theodore. He doesn't dislike any of his professors, but he tends to butt heads with Professor Sharp. (He's also maybe still a bit salty about being forced to sit separately from Garreth.)

7. What's your MC’s favourite place? Why do they like to be there?

The vivariums! It doesn't matter which one. Tristan is an animal lover to the fullest, and he loves having a safe haven for the beasts he rescues. He also enjoys being able to share quiet moments in the vivariums with people like Garreth, Poppy, and Adam.

What's your MC’s Hogwarts House? Was it what they expected? What qualities of their house does your MC embody most?

Westley is a Ravenclaw! He wasn't surprised at all to wind up here. He was always told he had his mother's mind, and his father told him she would certainly have been in Ravenclaw, had she been a witch. His strongest Ravenclaw qualities are open-mindedness and creativity!

Tristan is a Gryffindor! Being raised muggle, the Sorting Hat's choice hadn't meant much of anything to him at first. Fig had explained the houses to him, but he was more concerned with all of the other new things he was learning about. His strongest Gryffindor qualities are recklessness bravery and a strong sense of honor!

12. Can your MC cast the patronus charm? Is it corporeal or non-corporeal? What animal is it?

13. If the answer to the previous question is yes, what memory fuels your MC’s patronus? Why did your MC choose this memory?

Westley learned to cast the patronus charm during 6th year. It was non-corporeal until later in his early 20s, when it took shape as a black swan.

He won't admit to it, but it's the memory of that first kiss with Sebastian that fuels it. Not because it was some silly first kiss, but because he can remember vividly that moment of peace. He struggles pulling forward happy memories, but for that moment, everything was blissfully silent and nothing else mattered.

Tristan learned to cast the patronus charm in 7th year when he'd decided he'd wanted to become an auror. It was corporeal from day one, in the form of a black mare.

The day he'd received his Hogwarts letter and subsequent visit from Professor Fig is the memory that fuels his patronus. It was the day he was told there was more. That he could be something other than the nothingness of the 'sheltered third son' life he'd been born into.

I actually don't think I've ever answered one like this before. Lol I had to think so hard about this one.

11. If your MC were an animagus, what form would they take? What would they use their animagus form for?

Westley would probably take the form of an otter. Otters are deceptively adorable for for easily they can maul someone. They aren't inherently aggressive. They don't look for a fight. But they will not hesitate when they need to protect.

More than likely, he would use his form as a means of escape or moving through small spaces while still being able to put up a fight than for anything else.

Tristan would probably take the form of a husky. Huskies are fierce, feisty, and...dramatic. They're very playful and sociable, but also incredibly brave and ready to jump into action when necessary.

His form would be very useful if it came down to a physical fight or a need to be quick on his feet, but in all honesty...he'd probably be more likely to use it for something silly. Pulling a prank, cheering someone up, or just to do it.

3. Does your MC have a pet (other than the rescued beasts)? If so, talk about them? If not, what pet would your MC want?

I answered this one for Wes here!

Tristan wasn't allowed any pets, sadly. His family owns horses, and he's learned to ride them, but he was never permitted to actually care for them himself (no matter how badly he wanted to.)

Other than horses, if he could choose a pet for himself, he'd want the biggest, fluffiest, most obnoxious dog he could manage to find.

5. Who are your MCs closest friends? What's special about their friendship?

Westley's closest friends are Andrew Larson, Ominis, Natty, and Garreth. (No, Sebastian doesn't make this list. Lmao)

Drew was there for him quite literally from the moment he woke up on that first day. And he continued to be supportive without ever questioning him, even when he grew frustrated with the secrets that were obviously hurting Wes.

Ominis unexpectedly ended up being Wes' confidant. He told him nearly everything when it was all said and done. He was actually the first person Wes ever confided in about his condition.

Natty is...Natty. A third of what he accomplished was thanks to her. She was reckless. She was brave. She gave him courage to keep pushing through tougher times. She was also never against telling him when he was being daft.

Garreth had no idea what was going on. At all. But something was wrong. He knew that much. And he took every opportunity he could to help push Wes back into the green when he seemed like he was ready to crash out. He also was the only reason Wes was able to pass Potions Class.

Tristan's closest friends are Garreth, Adam(OC), Imelda, and Poppy.

Garreth and Tristan were attached at the hip first day of fifth year. They share a similar mentality and a lot of interests. Garreth is the one he kept most in the know about everything that was happening.

Adam knew practically everything about Tristan before he came to Hogwarts. They were each other's first love. Even while separated, they trusted each other fully.

Imelda is the "rival" Tristan didn't know he needed. He fell in love with Quidditch and she always drove him to be a better player. They definitely didn't have a thing for each other for a bit there and they definitely didn't kiss that one time.

Poppy is Tristan's animal rescue partner in crime. He's just as passionate as she is in finding safety for beasts and has just as great a disdain for poachers (wizarding or otherwise.)

3. Does your MC have a pet (other than the rescued beasts)? If so, talk about them? If not, what pet would your MC want?

He does! She's home with his mom during 5th year as to not distract him further, but he has a red and white sable mitt ferret named Lil Bit. A family friend gave it to him as a present for his 8th birthday.

Lil Bit is getting on the older side now, but she likes to pretend she isn't. She's a little menace and enjoys stealing from the kitchen. When he was little, she'd get Wes in trouble alongside her because she'd always bring a little extra for him too.

6. Out of our MC’s opponents, who do they fear the most? If none, who/what do they fear at all?

Wes never really feared the opponents themselves. What he feared more was his own potential for failure and the risk it posed if he couldn't move fast enough.

He started feeling that way doubly so every time the Keepers told him to wait and as his mental state rapidly started declining. (He's got a form of schitzoaffective disorder, for anyone not already aware.)

7. What is your MC's favourite place? Why do they like to be there?

Wes really likes to hang out on the hill with the astronomy table in Feldcroft. It's oddly secluded for being so close to the hamlet proper, and he enjoys being able to hear the sound of the coast. It reminds him of home. At the end of fifth year, something very serious actually happens at this spot, and it's something that will always stay with him.

8. Once your MC graduates Hogwarts, what will be their best and worst memories? What will they regret?

This one is actually a bit difficult. Many of Wes' best memories are tangled into the worst of them. He had a lot of crucial bonding moments with friends during his lowest moments.

He'd probably hold that first kiss with Sebastian as one of his best, however. And the day Fig died (as well as everything else that happened that day) would be one of his worst memories.

9. What are your MC’s plans for the future? Will they keep in touch with their Hogwarts friends?

Wes is going into the medical field. He wanted that since he was little, wizarding or muggle, it didn't matter. He always wanted to take up his mother's profession.

He and Sebastian intend to marry, but not immediately.

And yes! He definitely intends to keep up with his close friends from Hogwarts.

15. Wildcard: Tell us the funniest/most bizarre fact about your MC

Westley has a pink-ish birthmark shaped a lot like a bunny on the center of his lower back. (With everything else we already know about him, this just feels like the weirdest/silliest thing. Lmao)

Tristan got the scar across his eye from falling out of a tree when he was 8. That in itself isn't very funny. However, the way his mother screamed and fainted while he had blood streaming down his face like a bad horror movie trying to tell her about the bird nest he found while he was up there had his brothers laughing pretty hard when it was all said and done.
