My grandma can be a kid sometimes. Like when she starts bending our paper tablemats at the restaurant and makes a boat out of it. Or a "Napoleon hat", as she calls them. We made a mess of our tablemats and everything, but it made her smile a lot. And you don't get to see her smile frankly that much these days. She is in so much pain because of her blocked nerve in her back. Having this meal with her and seeing her so smiley and playful was a blessing. Love you grandma.

Happiness is singing. Singing at the top of my lungs, new songs, unknown songs, rock'n'roll songs, quiet ones. It's smiling while doing so and remembering why life is beautiful. It's beautiful because of music. Because we were given a voice, and I've got a very nice one myself. And I've had this song stuck in my head since yesterday. "This is the last time"'s repeated over and over again. Well this is the last time I'm ever letting myself go under. Yesterday was the last time I caved in. I've got lots of things to be happy about, and only very few of them are listed on this blog. I won't be sad again. I won't let myself.
