i don't think anyone else has done it the way i plan to but im plotting out a fix-it soul bond(?) au where erik “dies" and gets trapped in the gateway, a space between the ancestral realm and its more corporeal counterpart, and ends up tethered to t'challa from halfway beyond the grave. they don't know how or why it's happening but erik's angry about it and wants abosolutely nothing to do with t'challa. emotion and eventual redemption ensue
