dracula daily makes me wonder how many other novels could be adapted/republished in this way. like obviously dracula is an epistolary novel so it's easy to match up exactly what's happening when and format emails out over a specific timeframe, because the dates are literally in the text. but could you do this with another novel? could you map out the exact dates of pride and prejudice or little women or even, like, the fault in our stars, and send out those novels in the same capacity? would the tone and effect be the same, without the tension and suspense that gothic horror inherently holds? could you even do this with any other novel? would people care? would people grasp onto it as quickly as they have with drac daily? is this a novel, or is it a book club, or is it a social experiment?

Gently bapping myself over the head with a newspaper to quiet the part of my brain that continues to be discontented with my plan to make the overlayer of the Golden Guard outfit a tunic/shirt (which it is usually show to be in canon) instead of a like, padded cloth armor gambeson kind of situation (which it is shown to be in ONE piece of promo art and the one very short scene at the end of Escaping Expulsion, aka the episode he’s not really even technically In, BUT which feels right in vibes and would be interesting from a historical armor/costuming perspective, which I am a sucker for)

#consider: i COULD make it a gambeson...............#not for the wedding obviously but #eventually #that said. shadowen and i bought matching fabric to use for belos and hunter respectively and that gold is one of the ones we matched #so if i were to plan on remaking it i should. use one of the other golds i have around for the wedding version #IT PROBABLY DOESN'T NEED TO BE A GAMBESON BUT #hm. hmmm
