Surprise, surprise 🍰 Hyerin + Nara
After finally finishing the last order on her list, the young woman leaned back in her seat and let her head fall back. Closing her eyes, she sighed. A crazy busy month was now over, yet she felt anything but accomplished. After filling her cup with black tea, she decided to continue her all-nighter to finally finish what she'd longed to do for almost a month now. Her precious friend's birthday had long passed and she was ridden with guilt. The sketch was still placed on top in her sketchbook and the brunette gently let her fingers glide over the paper, while soft soul music played in the background. Tomorrow would be the first day on which she could relax for a while and she didn't want to waste it.
As tired as she was, Nara patted her cheeks a few times with her hands to get herself to focus and started work.
When she woke up, she found herself in her bed at home. It was already early noon, yet she felt tired to death and she groaned – maybe that all-nighter hadn't been such a good idea after all. Sluggishly, the girl got up to get ready for the day. With her cat Cake on her lap, she felt herself wake up while drinking black tea. And after finishing her breakfast, her mood lifted a lot. “Sorry, kitten, you'll have to stay home this time.” she patted his head before taking the two boxes she'd prepared and took off for the somewhat long way over to Marigold.
When the church came into sight, joy filled her and when she saw her friend, she couldn't help, but run towards her. “Hyeriiin!” she called the other girl she'd almost reached. “It's been so long, I've missed you so much and look what I've got here.” A bit out of breath, Nara came to a stop next to her friend, who's work should've ended around now.
