it is very true that there are a lot of people who hate TLJ because it has women at the front and center. however, it is inappropriate to invalidate every critic of TLJ who has raised issues about how the women were treated, how POC were treated, how the OT was treated, etc based on the MRAs. it is actually pretty gross how the pro-TLJ backlash has watered down to “if you hate the movie you hate women”. equating all TLJ critics with MRAs is a tactic to silence the opposition rather than deal with the fact that the movie had a ton of issues. it is also a classic straw man argument, the last defense of those who will not engage with the actual criticisms being raised.
