Welcome to my mess! I hope you’re not triggered. I know it’s disgusting, but I’m only posting because I’m getting around to cleaning it. This isn’t really meant to be good content or anything, it’s mostly just for me, but it’s out here for you all to see. I’ll update soon!

Buying Food

I buy a lot of food.  I don’t know why.  I just feel very secure and happy when the cupboard is stocked with non-perishables, or the freezer stocked with frozen stuff, and when I’ve gotten a good deal on something.

I probably buy 3X the amount of food we need, but I don’t ever buy stuff that will go bad before we can use it.  I keep saying I won’t buy anything else until we’ve depleted our current stores, but somehow I still end up buying a lot of groceries every couple weeks.

We don’t waste ANYTHING.  If something “goes off,” we put it outside for the animals. But that doesn’t happen often. And all our green waste gets composted. Our back lawn is the stuff of legend.

I don’t know what this compulsion is with me and having a full pantry. I was never hungry growing up. Even at my poorest, I made enough to feed myself.  I guess I just remember my mom’s cupboard and my grandmother’s cupboard always being fully stocked. My husband is always overjoyed when we get a mail flyer about a can drive, because he says 26 cans of carrots is just insane. :-D

I dunno if I have a legit problem or if I’m just really good at keeping my family fed. :D

things found in my pocket today: Dried flower, hair clip that I was missing, starburst for later consumption, multiple cheese stick wrappers, and bits of peat from work yesterday that found their way into my pockets.  Also a lollypop and napkins. My jacket has 4 pockets. I intend to predict what people may need in life and always carry it so that I can whip it out when they desperately need a tissue or something lol.

So in my excitement to stock up for next year, I purchased a bunch of beads. I finally got around to putting them away and cannot shut 3 of the 5 storage containers any longer 😆

I've spent the past hour and a half organizing my cosplay stuff, and I still have to deal with makeup and craft supplies.
