I should probably look into Trench Crusade a little more because the Artillery Witch is quite honestly one of the coolest witch designs I've seen in fiction

I started this like about a month ago but didn't finish cuz I got annoyed trying to paint the sky cuz it wasn't blending properly cuz it's on paper but I went back today to finish the whole thing

the Zulu-Cobra is finally done, ready to jam your comms and scare your pants off.
the skull faceplate was a happy accident, I had no intentions of freehanding anything in the first place but it turned out to be easier than trying to apply some edge highlights… that’s a first.
he’s my first finished mini of 2021. I meant to post him a week ago on the 11th but I forgot lol
YOUR TURN
Favorite tonk! Go!
Also, least favorite tonk (naughty bad tonks)
WHAAGH!
Well I'll start with my least favourite as that's definitely easier:
THE ROGAL DORN SUCKS ASS!!!!!
Here are my reasons:
Too many weapons in places that dont make sense. Look at the size of the sponsons. Why does it have melta nipples.
The main gun looks weird
The turret mantlet is taller than the gunner periscopes!?!!? Also why is the turret mantlet just a flat plate. It'd be much better curved.
It has a giant hole at the bottom of the hull
Its road wheels look weird
It has what seems to be a curved cast hull rather than a riveted one, unlike every other Imperial Guard tank. An inconsistent art style is an evil thing.
Now I love the concept of a heavy tank for the imperial guard, sort of an in-between for a Baneblade and a Leman Russ, but we already had one:
The Macharius! Why not just give this a plastic kit?!?!?!?
>:(
Anyway. Favourite tonk?
Hmmmmm...
It's tricky!
An easy answer is the Baneblade
It's a giant tank with 11 guns. What's not to love?
It's been a classic icon of the Imperial Guard for decades now and its one of the few warhammer vehicles with a stupid amount of weapons that doesn't look dumb. You can see where the crew fit and the guns seem to actually fit into their housings unlike other tanks in the setting. It's awesome!
Another favourite is the Hellhound:
Flamethrower tonk! Notice how it only has two weapons? It's simple! Does the job! And fits the aesthetic! a good lil guy!
The Land Raider
Arguably the most iconic vehicle in the entire setting! Its been in the game since 1st edition and is still going strong! And once again, its quite simple and not overly designed which is a huuuuuuuuge flaw with modern 40k vehicles. Just look at the primaris tanks:
I cant even see what's going on!
Anyhoo...
Overall I'd give the crown to the baneblade!
Im simple. Big Tonk. Big Score.
I painted something :D
(watercolor, Let's Make Art January 2022 box)
looks pretty rough but never done watercolor before xD
my flowers needs work xD
also, first time taping the edges before painting and when I pulled the tape off after, it pulled the top part of the paper with it in some places (the white areas) :(((
