Viann X HOFGANG [꼼짝마!] Album Preview

Viann (producer from DejaVu Group) and HOFGANG (rappers kitsyojii and kaogaii from LBNC) are releasing a collab album called “FREEEEEZE!!!” soon. Today/yesterday they pre-released the single “Purple Kimchi”.

It’s funny because I always had the impression everyone at DejaVu takes themselves way too seriously (and acting like boomers while in their 20s, but I think Viann isn’t even that young), while HOFGANG’s concept is “being childish even though we’re so old″. In this song, both sides come out: fancy beat and even a very pro-sounding guitar solo on one side, and on the other side, I’m not sure about the lyrics but I think “Purple Kimchi” says a lot lol.

Personally, I totally like it because I’ve become a fan of kitsyojii’s music. His rap is really good and his voice and little melodies all have a good flow and not only rap flow but it just. All goes well in a song :) This one has many effects and both rappers take turns rapping. This is what a collaboration should be like, not a heartless careless featuring part thrown in but you can tell they’re besties :)
