My friend Cookie sent a link to a brilliant 10 minute documentary about Walter Segal who’s design for social housing was used by the residents of Hogs Edge in Bevendean when they built their community in the 90′s. The houses were designed so that people with little or basic building skills would be able to put them together.
Me and Cicely interviewed friends of hers who live in Hogs Edge and were involved with the build (which appears on the first ever season of Grand Designs) for the DIY issue of Hidden Eggs 4. The new zine will be for sale at the ICA for the Artist Self Publishers fair this Saturday!
