Albus hates his name but he’d never say that out loud. He knows his parents meant well with it but it bears such a heavy burden. He doesn’t care to be called Albus but he doesn’t mind it. He just prefers Al. Al sounds plain and ordinary and much more fitting. Albus isn’t anything extraordinary. He’s smart yes but not academically. He feels like he’s always struggled with learning because he hates learning when he’s forced to do it which has given his professors headaches over the years. He shares the same love for muggle culture as his grandfather, Arthur and is quite knowledgeable in it as well. He loves comic books the most. Out of the Potter kids, he’s always been the one to try to keep a low profile even with his parents. Growing up, he didn’t want to be the brother who took too much attention from both his siblings and for that many people consider him to be low maintenance but most of the time he just doesn’t have the energy to fight for someone’s attention. He prefers it like that anyways. He’s never been one to favor the spot light that his last name brings him nor his first and middle. He feels like he’s had this mold made for him and it makes him feel trapped some days.  A little guarded and withdrawn, Albus just doesn’t trust anyone. He isn’t a jerk but he’s very suspicious of most people. He doesn’t open up very easily but once he does, he’s an open book. He can be sarcastic but he never means anything bad. He cares very deeply for those in his small circle and he isn’t afraid to go the distance for people even if the favor isn’t always returned.  He’s always had the dream to become a Healer and he had been working on that when one moment after heading to bed, he woke up back at Hogwarts in confusion. He doesn’t know what is happening but he doesn’t want to partake in any war but he will if his loved ones are in danger. Albus can become rather lethal if it means protecting someone he loves.

when last we left...

when we last saw draco before proper adulthood, it was in the aftermath of the battle of hogwarts. it took a long time to sort out the events of that night. draco and his family narrowly escaped azkaban. the trial process took the better part of the next year, and house arrest gave him and his family time to re-evaluate what they were going to do going forward. it’s been two years since then. draco was entering his final year at hogwarts with intent to focus his studies on defense against the dark arts and transfiguration. in the grand scheme at age 20, his plan is to find a nice girl that his parents like, produce an heir, and never feel an emotion again.

definitely should have needed glasses, but he got his eyes fixed by a private healer when he was six. they did his nose while they were in there.

BEFORE

mason sawyer is a muggleborn wizard with 3 moms and 3 dads. yes, most parents than many other people have and for that he is blessed. 

his two moms, agnetha & anni-frid used their best friend karolina as their surrogate. karolina was then married to benny, but later karolina asked for a divorce to focus on her cats and move to canada to be with her one true love. benny later married björn and thus came the tale of... three moms, three dads, one child. thankfully the family has remained friends, and mason loves all of parents equally and so much. 

he used to live with agnetha & anni-frid but has since moved and lives with his best friend, henry nichols. 

mason is kind, sweet, honest and the epitome of sunshine. he spreads love in this world, and all he asks for in return is love back. 

he is a seer, very gifted in divination and works as an unspeakable for the ministry and it’s truly the coolest job in the world.

mason’s liked henry for as long as he can remember, and that’s a love he’ll never get over. 

THE SWITCH

things were going so fucking good. mason and henry... finally got together. though it wasn’t the gut-wrenching love confession he’d hoped for, it was sex and it was enough. the next day he found a letter about henry’s move to australia... the very next day. heartbroken and angry, they fought for so long, mason’s heart was shattered. he left their flat and instantly they were in 1928. mason’s confused and alone, he’s heart broken and hurting and stuck with henry. he got his job back, a new flat but he’s stuck with the man who broke his heart until he makes new friends and finds anyone else to live with. to make matters worse, henry’s cat who is the love of mason’s life is stuck in 2020... or is he?

when last we left...

when last we left sirius black at age 24, he was three years into his prison sentence for the murders of james potter, lily evans potter, and peter pettigrew. he had not been given a trial and, as we all know but the wizarding world did not, he was innocent of these crimes.

sirius is pureblooded to the point where he’ll gleefully point out just how inbred he is. by age 24, he’s long since been removed from the black family tapestry. 

he’s a former gryffindor and seemingly prouder of little more.

he’s an animangus and has been since he was fifteen, taking the form of a large, black dog. this comes with several pros, but the fleas are murder.

he lived in the summers starting at age 16 with james’s parents, treating them like his own parents, until graduation. after this, he got a loft in downtown london with his uncle’s inheritance. 

his brother, regulus, died in the first wizarding war due to circumstances we’re all familiar with. at age 24 his father has passed, though he may not be aware of it. his mother has not.

since the spell...

since the spell went wrong, sirius has been adjusting to his newfound freedom. he lives above the three broomsticks and tends the bar there. it’s busier than he ever remembers, what with all the new hogsmeade residents. he loves talking to people and catching snippets of their stories. it should be said that sirius is a great bartender, but he always seems to forget what you wanted and just gives you what he thinks you’ll like. some things never change, and he confidently knows three ways in and out of the castle from hogsmeade, so he can be found there when it suits him, usually shifted.

sirius could not fly a broom if his life depended on it. it’s just never been something he’s good at. he’s been trying desperately to get together things he would need to start working on a motorbike.

his life before the snap was pretty average, he has a loving family and he’s a bit of a git. by git i mean, scorpius hyperion malfoy is the single most annoying person and yet you can’t help but love him. 

he loves his father, but he can’t help but be so different from him. 

scorpius is very, very outgoing. he can make friends with a tree (which he actually DOES because he’s a flower boii). he’s a bit of a flirt and technically he’s panromantic homosexual, but really sexuality is so fluid and scorpius just goes with the flow. 

he’s a party animal and he loves anything that gives him an excuse to stay out late and have the time of his life. in his world, it’s fucking 2020 and he wants to live his best life.

THE SWITCH

as as often occurrence since scorpius turned 18, he’s been bickering with draco a lot more. when the switch happened, the pair were in their worst fight yet. i’m talking yelling and tears and saying the most unimaginable and horrid things because the situation escalated. the reason behind the fight was long forgotten-- it’s because scorpius wanted to drop out of school and be DJ heartworm-- and the second he walked away, he regretted it. unfortunately it was too late, the moment is gone and scorpius is stuck here... in 1920s hogsmeade, going to hogwarts is a time before the invention of the iPhone and he’s confused. he’s confused and lost and he doesn’t even know if being openly gay is okay anymore. now... well, he’s trying to figure out his way in this world and make some new friends.

when last we left...

at 36, when last we left aberforth dumbledore, he was fifteen years old and at his sister’s funeral. He might have killed her. Either way, someone did, and now she’s dead. It’s a lot for anyone to handle, and the weight of her absence was a heavy load to carry. He finished school, barely tripping through his NEWTS, and settled into the first job that would have him. this was serving at the hog’s head. it’s been almost twenty years, and he now stands to inherent the place when mrs. mcquarrie, the current owner, passes.

with only a year and some change between him and ariana, the two were incredibly close. beyond him just calming her down when she was having fits, he’d spend most of his time with her as his best friend, telling her stories and assuaging nightmares. he was devastated when it finally sunk in that she wasn’t going to hogwarts.

  Emmeline Vance grew up to be a surprise to everyone. During her early years of Hogwarts, Emmeline was quiet. She didn’t have a voice but that didn’t mean that her thoughts weren’t loud. In fact, she was always thinking. Emmeline enjoyed looking at the world and trying to find the truth behind everything. She was observant and she was a quick learner. She was good at analyzing people and she liked to find how things truly worked. It was a shocker when she was sorted into Gryffindor and not Ravenclaw but her parents didn't question it. They knew their daughter had a fire in her heart and it was just a matter of it coming out. She wasn't always fond of people but she wasn't someone to push others away. In fact, Emmeline could never deny helping someone. Whether that be helping with tutoring or just when someone needed someone to listen to them or stand up for them. 

As time passed, Emmeline grew into her true self and found her voice as well as her friends. She didn't have difficulty making friends after this. It was in her fifth year that Em found her mentor after a horrible flu. Madam Pomfrey. She often went unnoticed by the people at Hogwarts but Emmeline found her fascinating. She knew every remedy in the book and not in a book. Soon enough, Emmeline found herself drawn to the healing arts. She often found herself spending evenings with the mediwitch and picking up everything she could. Her skills made it easier to get accepted into a healing program at St. Mungo's after graduation and she excelled beyond belief. However, things took a turn for the worse as time progressed. 

War was starting and Em knew that she had to do something more. As time passed, more people ended up wounded or worse, dead. Emmeline knew she needed to do so much more. She had the skill to help people and she needed to get it to people in need before they were past the point of no return. She was so sure that people didn’t notice how she snuck into just the right conversations, and finding out who she had speak to about the organization that kept destroying their towns while fighting Voldemort. It was Emmeline who approached Dumbledore once she knew where to go which was something rare for the old wizard.  Not too long after, she joined the Order without looking back or hesitation. 

Emmeline was fully skilled in both fighting and defensive spells and she knew how to form a non-corporeal patronus. She was the only fully trained mediwitch that the order had and took it upon herself to make sure to go on the most dangerous of missions to be able to help anyone who became injured. This allowed her to keep a close eye on everything and to see what others did not. Emmeline became an important asset to the Order in this way. 

She watched many of her closest friends died and despite this, she pushed forward for the sake of others. After the war ended, Emmeline was not the same person anymore. She became rather guarded and while she wasn’t rude or mean, she didn’t allow her to have too many people close to her out of fear of losing them. Em became a traveling mediwitch, helping anyone that needed it far and wide. She did keep an eye on Harry from afar, leaving little things for him to find and wishing she could take him far away from his aunt and uncle’s care. 

When she heard that he was in danger once more and that Voldemort had returned, she didn’t hesitate to return. Emmeline joined the advance guard to make sure that Harry was taken to safety. She considered both Lily and James close friends and wanted to make sure that their son was protected at all costs. Emmeline died standing post at the muggle prime minister’s residence. She was out numbered and  murdered by death eaters and never knew how it was they found her. 

Emmeline woke up in another time, she remembers dying so she isn’t sure what is going on but there are many familiar faces who seem frozen in time to her. She is glad to see them but knows that there’s something wrong here and with news about Gellart, she knows she would fight for what’s right here just as much as she did before to ensure what’s right prevails again.

Petunia Evans grew up always feeling like the unwanted child. Nothing was ever enough for mum and dad and she was always reminded of it. She could never think back to a time where her parents were legitimately proud of her but she can remember all the times that they scolded her. Her younger sister Lily was the only person who ever made Petunia feel loved and maybe that was why for the longest time, Petunia spoiled her just as much.  But then things changed and Petunia knew she was losing her sister when Severus Snape came into play. She knew that she couldn’t compare to anything that he had to offer because she wasn’t anywhere near magical like they were. The first time that Petunia’s heart broke was when Lily’s letter came and she left for most of the year. Petunia again felt alone. She tried to follow, wrote a letter and the rejection hit her harder than she liked to admit because all she wanted was to be with her sister because she didn’t want to be left alone with her parents who always reminded her how she wasn’t special in one way or another but they didn’t see a problem in making her feel ugly and uninteresting. They fed her, gave her a place to live and made sure that she had everything she needed so in their eyes, they were doing okay. 

However, their behavior turned Petunia surly and irritable from a young age and instead of letting her hurt be known to Lily, she just let it turn into anger because Petunia is not a brave person. She never had the courage to stand up for herself and question them on why they treated her such a way and instead just accepted the fact that they tolerated her. This was where her dislike for magic started to get uglier because magic took away the only person who ever made her feel loved.  Then Petunia met someone. Her name was Evelyn Jacobs. Someone else who made her feel loved and like maybe she was worth something. Petunia started to realize that she was interested in women just as much as she was men and figured perhaps her parents would be just as accepting if they could accept magic so easily. It was the only courageous thing she had done when she mustered up all her strength to tell her parents the truth. It did not go the way she had hoped. Apparently, magic is not a choice but liking women is and so they scolded her and then pretended like the conversation never occurred and so Petunia dropped Evelyn from her life and pretended like nothing happened herself and never told anyone ever again.

So then came Vernon. Someone else who showed her love and although she didn’t really feel the same, she gave in because in her mind, she was afraid that no one else would ever love her. They went to school together and then became engaged. That was when her life changed in the blink of an eye. They had to postpone their marriage to after everything was taken care of but Petunia had been pregnant with Dudley and given birth because there’s no postponing that. Her parents passed, one not long after the other, not being able to handle losing each other and Petunia being the eldest daughter, was the one who had to manage everything. She didn’t know that her sister was fighting a war where she would lose her life until the letter came along with Harry. Petunia lost three people all in a short span of time and her life had changed completely from one day to the next and her anger for magic turned into hatred because it really did take the person who she loved the most and she never got to say goodbye because of her stupid behavior and bitterness. In her time, Lily’s been dead for only a couple of days when she finds herself in a different time. She’s afraid and confused until someone tells her where she is and she isn’t quite sure how to deal with the fact that she has been brought to the place where she had wanted to go for so long as a child. She doesn’t know that Lily may have been brought there as well.
