http://archiveofourown.org/works/13406604 Lance lets out a breath. “Phew! For a second I thought you were going to call me a liar! Then it’d be a big thing because you know how upset Hunk gets when we’re arguing and-” “You knocked me out of the air, Lance. And we always argue.” “It was an accident! I didn’t mean to turn that hard. Besides, Pidge caught you with her weird floaty spell, so you hardly even got hurt! And we only argue because you’re prickly and stubborn-” “I’m going back to the castle. Go bother your friends.” Keith says dryly, turning to head back up the stone steps. “We’re supposed to be friends too, you know!” Lance calls after him. Keith doesn’t bother replying. It was one battle after another with Lance. Or moody, Gryffindor Keith might like the company of Lance McClain more than he should. (The Klance Hogwarts AU nobody asked for.) One work in a series I might do of Hogwarts Voltron. This is just the getting together one shot
“Yes it is, you’re making the sounds.” Keith snapped.
“Well you’re causing them.”
Lance could feel the dust getting in his lungs every time he inhaled. He guessed it was what you’d expect from a closet.
“Next time I’m picking the make-out spot.” Lance grumbled, as Keith worked as his neck, sucking earnestly.
Both their outer robes were crumpled on the stone ground, along with Lance’s green and silver tie. Keith moved his way to Lance’s mouth again, pushing into the wall firmly. Lance liked this. The breathless feeling that came with kissing Keith. With just being around him. It made Lance feel dangerous. Made him feel wanted.
Lance kissed him back with the same fire and passion, holding him close with his hands, pressing into Keith’s lower back. Keith bit his bottom lip, dragging into his mouth and letting go with a pop, before pressing their mouths back together.
“Hmm, fuck.” Lance muttered as Keith nudged a knee in between Lance’s legs.
Keith pressed more, rubbing his leg against Lance’s crotch, and smirking. Because he knew, he knew how much Lance liked this. He knew what he did to him. How he made him crumble. Made him melt into a puddle on the floor.
The chiming of the tower bell in the courtyard nearby caused Lance to retreat slowly.
“Just a few more minutes.” Keith practically whined, leaning down to kiss Lance’s jaw.
“We’ve got class.” Lance braced against Keith with his hands on his shoulders. Not quite pushing him away, just keeping him there.
“What about tonight? After the game?” Keith looked at him, those violet eyes boring into his soul, pulling out the best and worst in him.
“Maybe, I’ll probably be busy celebrating.” Lance smiled cheekily.
Keith rolled his eyes. “In your dreams McClain.”
They gathered their robes from the floor, charming the dust and wrinkles out before slipping them on. Keith tugged on Lance’s tie one to pull him in for one last kiss.
“Get out of here lion boy, I got a game to prepare for.” Lance winked as they emerged from the closet and went their separate ways.
What Lance didn’t get to see was the deep red blush forming on Keith’s cheeks.

Keith was late to DADA because he stopped by the bathroom to splash some cold water on his face.
He couldn't focus all class and managed to get hit with a jinx that made his hair white.
“It’ll only last a couple hours, don’t worry.” Shiro said after class, after asking Keith to stay behind for a moment.
“Whatever.” Keith pulled it back into a messy bun, God his hair was greasy, he needed a shower.
“Are you okay? You seemed a little distracted during class today.”
“I’m fine Shiro- Professor.” Keith still wasn’t used to Shiro teaching. It was weird living at school now all the time. He missed his and Shiro’s apartment, with the little loft and fireplace. It smelled like home. Now their small flat in the castle just smelled like rainwater and mold.
“You nervous for the game? It is your first one as captain, so I could understand why you’re ner-”
“I’m not nervous.”
Shiro leaned against his desk, with an easy smile. “Okay. Well if you wanna talk about it,” he didn’t finish his sentence but Keith could fill it in in his head.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll see you later or whatever.”
And then Keith was walking out of the room, making his way up the many flights of stairs to Gryffindor tower.
“Fizzing Whizbees.” Keith told the fat lady, and she yawned and swung open her portrait.
The common room had a few students around, none that Keith was friends with. He wasn’t really close with anybody in his house. He’s not really sure a lot of people like him anyways, so why bother ya know?
He threw open his trunk and pulled out his quidditch robes so he could be dressed before dinner. He was the teams seeker. At least Lance was a chaser, so he wouldn't have to collide with him too much. Stupid Lance and his stupid charisma and stupid laugh and stupid eyes. Keith hated how all it took was one little look and Keith was a flustered mess. They’re not even together. They just have this- this thing going on. Keith doesn't even know what to call it. Make-out buddies? Friends with benefits? They weren't really close friends. They just inhabited the same friend group. They were one of the more eccentric groups of friends at Hogwarts. With Hunk in Ravenclaw, and Pidge and Allura in Slytherin with Lance, they were mix of houses. It wasn’t like it was taboo to be friends with from other houses, but it wasn’t as common.
He tugged on his boots and checked the clock on the wall. Ten minutes until dinner. Ten minutes until he’ll be sitting next to Lance. Because in their third year they started allowing students to sit at other tables during dinner, and not just during breakfast and lunch. Which meant that he sat by Lance at nearly every meal. Which meant- yeah whatever.
He walked down the stairs again, cursing each step.
“Hey Keith!”
He turned around and saw Pudge running towards him, their robes drowning their already small figure.
“You ready to get your ass kicked tonight?” They smirked, nudging him with their elbow.
“You mean am I ready to win the first game of the season? Cause in that case I am.” Keith couldn't help but smirk back.
Pidge rolled their eyes and pushed walked through the propped open doors, heading to their usual spot near the middle of the room. Hunk and Lance we’re already there, Lance in his slytherin quidditch robes. He had waved his fork around as he told some sort of story to Hunk, who looked slightly bored and a little scared as Lance almost sideswiped him with the fork. Allura sat across from them, charming a paper swan to fly around their heads.
“Oh hello Keith!” Allura waved kindly, distracting her focus as the swan came down to land in Lance’s water glass.
“Hey.” Lance frowned, plucking the now soggy paper swan from the glass and flick it at Keith as he sat across from him.
Keith glared at him. “What was that for?”
Lance shrugged, and snuck him a quick wink before turning to listen to Pidge explain the history of the tables that we’re in the Great Hall.
And Keith wasn’t really listening to Pidge in the first place but dammit he couldn’t stop staring at Lance’s lips. And they really weren't anything to call home about but they just moved in a way that- that just made Keith daze off for a second.
Even when the food arrived Keith didn’t really wanna eat. Something just wasn’t sitting well in his stomach. He knew that this- thing he had with Lance was just for fun. Lance never hinted at them being anything more. And Keith didn’t want that either. He was good with this. He was good with them just hooking up in closets. He was- he
Not really. He wasn’t good with it. He wanted to hold Lance’s hand in between classes. He wanted to sit with him by the lake on Saturdays and talk about everything and anything. He wanted to drop Lance off at the Slytherin commons and kiss him goodnight.
But Lance didn’t want that so he was fine. Keith was fine.
*
Keith couldn't fucking see anything. The rain was coming down so hard and it stung his face. The left lens of his goggles had cracked the Slytherin beater had elbowed him in the face. He flew up above the field, watching the chasers battle it out below him. Lance led the charge, quaffle tucked against his body with two other chasers flanking each side. They dodged expertly, weaving through Keith’s teammates like- well like snakes.
“Keith! Wake up man, it’s the snitch!”
Rolo, one of the chasers, was shouting at him. And he had been caught staring at Lance. Great.
Keith looked where he was pointing and saw the snitch floating near the stadium. He saw the other seeker idly flying around with searching eyes.
Keith took his time making his way over towards the snitch, as to not let the other seeker know.
That didn’t last long, as they both spotted it and Keith took off, laying his torso on his broom, bracing himself against the rain and pushing himself to go faster despite it. The rain pounded against his face and seeped into his robes, dripping down his neck. The Slytherin seeker pushed against Keith’s shoulder, nudging him with a blunt force. Keith shoved back equally hard and reached his hand out. The announcer’s voice was muffled in the background and he could almost feel the flutter of wings against his fingers when-
He was swirling through the air, away from the snitch. The crowd cheered loudly as Keith tired to stabilize himself. He blinked a few time peering through the rain, trying to figure out what had just happened. He almost had it dammit! He looked back and saw the chaser that had nudged the back of his broom, causing him to spin out of control.
Disgruntled, he flew down to the ground as Slytherins flooded the field. They hoisted the team above their heads, the seeker waving the golden snitch in the air.
The rest of the Gryffindor team landed and began to trudge back towards the castle. Keith lagged behind to watch a beaming Lance jump around his teammates, waving his broom in his hand.
Losing was almost worth it to see Lance that happy. Keith turned back and swung his broom over his shoulder.
“Keith! Keith!”
Suddenly a hand was tugging his arm and spinning him around. Then cold lips were on his and cold hands were wrapping around waist.
Keith pulled away and smiling blue eyes were staring back at him.
“Hogsmeade.” Lance said breathlessly.
“Huh?” Keith could only blink at him. Because holy shit Lance had just kissed him. Kissed him like he wanted to. And in public.
“I like you. And I wanna take you to Hogsmeade next weekend.” Lance was still beaming down at him. A streak of mud was on his jaw, which Keth found oddly attractive.
“You- like, like a date?” Keith was so hyper aware of the hands tightening on his waist and Lance’s warm breath in his face and the beads of rain dripping down both their faces.
“Yeah.” Lance nodded quickly, blinking away more rain.
Keith was probably smiling but he couldn't really feel his face as he grabbed the collar of Lance’s robes and tugged him forward. And even though his lips were numb, he had never been so warm in his life. He could feel it in his toes. In his chest. In his everywhere.
Lance pulled away and laughed. “I’ll take that as a yes?”
Keith smirked. Apparently Lance did want this. Whatever ‘this’ was. And Keith was pretty sure he was really, really going to like it.
