Best Revenge Story of All Time

This happened to a friend of my mom’s a couple years ago. Anyone who is good at holding a grudge should like this. Names were changed and all that crap.

During high school there was this couple, Amy and James. They were perfect for each other and everyone knew they’d get married one day. On April first, senior year, during a history quiz, Amy gets a call to come to the main office. She goes down and knows that it was something about James. When she gets there, his sister (a sophomore) is there too. The principle tells them that James was in a car crash and was killed. He tells Amy and James’s sister that it was a head-on collision with a drunk driver. He was almost too disfigured to identify. Amy is devastated. She is sobbing on the floor of the principle’s office for at least an hour before anyone can get her to go home. They had planned everything. Going to college together, and their kids, everything. I mean the love of her life, just... gone.

When she does get home, Amy is still inconsolable. Then, that night, James walks into her room with flowers and asks her to prom. He said that he made the whole thing up, and it was just a prank... April Fools Amy!

A year or so after they graduated, they got married. They had an incredibly happy marriage. She ended up being a stay at home mom, and he worked in construction as one of the engineers and foremen.  During her third pregnancy  Amy told her obstetrician at her four month appointment in December about the whole prank in high school.

“You know, I could help you get back at him.”

“What? No, it was so long ago, I’m over it.”

“Well if you’re sure. This would be a great come back”

*thinks it over*

Amy asked James to come into the next appointment she had with her doctor.

“Whats it about?”

“I don’t know James, she just said you needed to be there too.”

Dr. Fess said that Amy was going to have two very big baby boys, and that she would not be able to provide enough milk for both of them in time for them when they were born. I don’t remember quite why, but formula was not an option. They could only have milk from their parent. Something about a certain protein that could only be in the form of mother’s milk. Dr. Fess said that because there would not be enough for both babies if just Amy had milk...

“James you will have to provide half the milk.”

“WHAT?! NO! Thats impossible. Can you even do that? No.”

“Yes. We have everything to make it happen.”

“Noooooo way. I work in construction, I can’t do that. No way in heck.”

“these are our kids James. These are your children. How dare you. I mean it’s your fault I’m pregnant.” (yeah she totally played that card)

“But I-- I mean I-- Well if I were to even consider this... what would I have to do?”

the doctor explained that he would be given a dosage of hormones. After x amount of weeks he would be able to provide milk for the babies. when he talked about construction, Amy said he could find him a sports bra that would fit. She said that to hide his man boobs, he could just wear a bigger construction vest, and that when he had to pump at work, he could just bring a cooler and put the bottles in there.

After much protesting, James agrees. The shots he was given for the months before the due date that would give him the right mount of fluid to produce milk.  He took pills that he was told were hormones. For months, he thought that he would have to eat more to make more milk, so he gained almost thirty pounds. After a while, and as the due date got closer, James got more and more frustrated. He didn’t think the pills were working. He did get bigger in the chest area, but he wasn’t experiencing any of the symptoms Dr. Fess had described for lactation. Finally, about a week before the babies were supposed to arrive, James lost it.

“I don’t get it! I’ve done all this work, and gotten all these medicines, and all this, and now my babies are going to die because I couldn’t lactate? Are you serious?? Why is this happening? I mean I’ve lost respect at work because I’ve gained weight, and someone almost caught me with the pump in my bag! I just don’t know what to do! I’m sorry Amy! I’m sorry this isn’t working! I’m SORRY!”

Amy just smirked and said:

“April Fools James.”
