"Are you jealous? Want me all to yourself, do you?" he teased, hoping to get some reaction from her. It’d be cute if she was jealous - not that she had any reason to be. He hated these events, being made to smooze and charm people whose names he wouldn’t remember in an hour. A fact that she probably knew, seeing as he had spent all day leading up to the night's event complaining about it.

𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗐𝖺𝗒 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗍𝗎𝗋𝗇 𝗂𝗌 𝗇𝗈𝗍 𝗌𝗎𝖻𝗍𝗅𝖾 𝖺𝗍 𝖺𝗅𝗅, 𝖻𝗎𝗍 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝖽𝗈𝗇'𝗍 𝖼𝖺𝗋𝖾. she’s not exactly being subtle either. at his point, there is little to do, when he is the only guy there. you know that he is bound to look at you and recognize rachel, but consdiering what she is telling you, well, you don’t mind it that much. the guy probably thinks you are both insane, and quite honestly, you don’t mind it all that much. you watch him, trying to find the same pinpoints that rachel recognized last night, and in truth you can see most of them. you can barely choke back a laugh, as you turn back. you do try to keep back laughter, as to avoid more eyes on you at the moment, considering that half of the restaurant has already turned around and looked at you, but you can barely hold it and then, you are bursting out laughing. you don’t even want to look at rachel for the moment, but instead you just, laugh and choke out a, ❝ i see what you are saying, rach. ❞
