If only to make one Carys Beren smile, Doctor Holden James Fox accepted his invitation to the annual Winter Wonderland Gala in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Though the doctor (and veteran) has been invited to the event consecutively for the last decade, this will be his first year of attendance. The man went so far as to take the weekend off of work, renting a suite for himself and his beloved. Holden enjoyed the evening in his finest crisp-black suit, surrounded by co-workers, close friends, twin sister, and his gorgeous date.

→  Cape Fear Carnival , 7:00PM @ the Medical Tent

“What have you done to yourself now?” Holden asked, using his latex-glove clad hand to roll up the other person’s shirtsleeve. Underneath was a gnarly scrape, dusted with gravel and dirt from around the carnival grounds. Holden gently bent the person’s arm, waiting for a reaction. Holden glanced up, a smirk playing on his face. “Well, it’s not broken -- I’ll clean this up for you and get you back to the carnival.” Holden let the other go and moved across the medical tent to retrieve some sterile wipes and band-aids. “We’ve got Barbie, Nemo, Pokemon, Hello Kitty, or neon. What’ll it be?”
