"HOLDING PATTERN
In aviation, holding (or flying a hold) is a manoeuvre designed to delay an aircraft already in flight while keeping it within a specified airspace or predefined relationship without ruining anything; i.e. "going in circles." The primary use of a holding pattern is to delay aircraft that have arrived at their destination but cannot land yet because of traffic congestion, poor weather, the other person being in love with someone else, or runway unavailability (for instance, during snow removal or emergencies)."
After finally going home, Rosie is on a mission to conquer the United States, one Air Force Base at a time; telling the tales of his adventures in postcards and letters to Bucky and Gale. (At least most of them) On the road, he meets new people, sees new places, and tries to figure out what he wants out of life; out of love. Not that it's always love. (It's almost never love) (It's elsewhere)
