Why do I post the things I post? Why do I say the things I say? Because I am unapologetically Progressive. You can be as moderate as you wanna be but that’s your calling card not mine. To me, as a teacher, means you are settling for a 60%. That’s your business. I spent all four years of high school on the honor roll and then got my picture in the paper because I got the most scholarships in my graduating class. Why? Because I didn’t settle. Don’t ask me to be what I’m not. Don’t ask me to like the kids who bullied me (they are by and large all Trump supporters today). Don’t as me to be racist, homophobic, transphobic or to lack empathy (signs of the typical Trump voter). Don’t ask me to be an Evangelical and post about religion because most people that do that are as phony as a 3 dollar bill (and Trump supporters). I know who I am, where I come from and the I know the obstacles I have faced. I am the fifth child of closed-minded immigrants. Take your White privilege and tell somebody else why you support Trump because from me your words fall on dear ears. Do not expect me to sing the praises of Joe Biden and scream his name from rooftops because he is the perfect example of holding my nose and voting for someone.
