Hey folks!

I’ve decided that I want my LotR side-blog to be my main blog for a couple of reasons, and since tumblr is unfortunately very very complicated about these kinds of things that meant that my only option was to just swap urls around.

You’re probably seeing this because you followed my then-main now-side blog holey-george, and don’t worry that blog is still going it’s just OVER HERE now.

I still love HP and I will still reblog HP stuff and occasionally upload my own, it’s just that there’s a lot of HP stuff and HP opinions going ‘round on tumblr rn that mostly just make me sad, and sometimes a little bit angry for obvious reasons because f!ck JKR, and I don’t want what is basically my main internet home if you will to be a place that makes me sad yk.

So. LotR is and has always been and will always be my main fandom so I figured why not just switch these two blogs around and that’ll be that.

Okay I’m rambling.

Hiii there. Sooo. I rewatched Sherlock on a whim and god i'm so obsessed again. Like i'm just completely back in the sherlock abyss.. and i just wanted to say thank you. A BIG THANK YOU. All the meta on your blog is the fuel that's kept me going the last few days bc they kinda sucked and the rest of the week is also going to suck but I have something to look forward to every evening when I open one of your masterposts and just read every post one after the other. Oh gosh, it’s been so long since I’ve had people fawn over my meta, and it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside! My own fault, I don’t really promote them very much, so thank you! <3 I’m happy they bring you such joy! <3

I have SO many asks that came in recently, oddly enough, asking for my opinions on various aspects of the show again, so maybe I should try to warm up my meta brain again, LOL. I have like 5 asks about S5, so I should probably give them my opinion on that first, LOL.

um so idk if you know this?? but there are five prayers a day and they each have a time limit. so, it’s recommended to pray for each of them within the time frame! xx

Hello! I saw that you are doing this (amazing) thing where you explain how and why our patronus is what it is and I am VERY curious. So my Hogwarts house is Gryffindor and my patronus is a Wolf. Thanks for your time!

Hi there! I’m replying on behalf of Olga and Ashley as you’ve been waiting such a long time for a reply – even if I’m not from your house (hiss hiss baby), I’ll be sure to do my best!! :) Also, by the by, this also goes out to @holey-george, who shares your house and Patronus!

Symbolically speaking, wolves have two faces. In European folklore, they represent destruction and deception, while in Asian cultures they are symbolic of guardianship, loyalty, and ritual. The last three are sensible when one looks at wolves as actual animals, as, like dogs, they live in and are deathly loyal to tight-knit “packs” and exhibit ritualistic behaviors.

Having a Wolf as your Patronus means you find comfort in family, whether it is your blood family or a family you’ve made out of your closest friends. You are affectionate with the ones you care about and will fight to the death to defend them because you know you wouldn’t be half as strong as you are if you were alone. Generally this sort of community would seem to be more up a Hufflepuff’s alley, but in your case, you are strong because of the people you love and you embrace it. Yes, you may do what you think is right rather than just blindly do what your family says to do, like most Gryffindors, but that doesn’t mean you still won’t protect what is important to you. Whenever you feel alone, isolated, and afraid, this guardian will rush to your side and defend you until the bitter end.
