okay so i feel like on your first date you both would want to go to the movies, but he chooses secretly which movie you go to (you lost a competition to see who chooses) and so you’d be like “we’re going to the movies, but listen, i love the movies so choose wisely bby” and omg he would just choose something that he would like but then later he would start overthinking it and stressing about it and then becoming all quiet and stuff and you’d get there and he chose something like bohemian rhapsody so really he couldn’t go wrong. and during the movie he just keeps looking at you to see if you like it and after the movie he’s like “……………….what did u think??” and you’d of course tell him “i liked the movie, but being with you made it better” and then after hearing that his adrenaline would be pumping and he’d say something super corny like “you can be with me in other places, you know” while winking and omg i’m so sad

You were startled awake by the sound of the front door being opened, the sound of metal keys clanging against each other in a soft sound, clicking the lock open in one swift movement. The door opened easily for whoever was on the other side, the sound of heavy boots slapping against the hardwood floor followed the movements. You lifted your body up on your elbows, eyes squinting through the darkness of your bedroom as you tried to see under the small space under the bedroom.

There was a heavy sound of something hitting the floor that made you jump, it sounding like a heavy bag being carelessly dropped onto the ground. Your heart skipped a beat as you slowly threw your blanket away from your body, swivelling around on the bed. Hanging your feet over the edge of the bed, toes just brushing against the soft carpet below. You pushed your body from the bed, feet gliding across the floor silently. You wrapped your arms around your body as the cool air nipped at your skin.

You walked to the bedroom door, hand reaching out to grasp the cool metal doorknob. You could hear the faint sound of a familiar voice whispering words that you would hear, but the sound of that voice. His voice, it made a wide grin spread across your lips and a warmth to suddenly spread around your body. You quickly pulled the door open and hastily made your way down the hall. The close you got the clearer his words became. You could hear him cooing at Duke, who’s claws you could hear clanking against the floor as he ran around Calum.

You rounded the corner to see Calum hunched over on the floor, Duke laid out in the floor on his back as Calum scratched his tummy. You lent against the doorway, just taking in the sight of your boyfriend and Duke. you must have let out a loud enough sigh because Calum lifted his head, dark eyes peering away from Duke to see you standing there. Dressed in one of his hoodies and a pair of pajama pants, hair pulled up in a bun with strands fallen out and hanging around your face.

“Hey gorgeous” Calum said in his husky voice, you could hear the tiredness in his words.

“Cal” You whispered quietly, your lips parting in a tired yawn.

Calum’s plump lips turned up into a warm smile as he watched you raise a hand to your lips to hide the yawn slipping past your lips. He could see the tired look in your eyes, but there was a clear smile on your lips as you watched him. Calum gave Duke on last scratch before pushing his body up, some of his joints made noise of protest at the quick movement, but he payed the sound no mind. He swept his charcoal black curls from his eyes as he took small strides towards you.

You turned your body slightly, letting your back rest against the doorway flat. Calum stood in front of you, his large hands reaching up to cup both of your cheeks, his thumbs rubbing softly against your cheekbones. Your hands reached out to grip his shirt, taking the soft fabric between your fingers and holding it tightly.

“I missed you Y/N, so much” Calum spoke softly to you, his head dipping down to rest his forehead against yours.

You hummed softly at his words, head tilting up to brush your nose against his. “I missed you too”

Calum moved his hands from your cheeks to the base of your neck, his long fingers tangling in the hairs at the base of your neck. His chocolate brown eyes looked dark in the minimal light, but you could clearly see his love and affection shining through the dark irises. You let his shirt fall from your grasp, hands spreading out on his hips, the pads of your fingers pressing down on his clothing and pulling him  a step closer to you. The action made Calum chuckle softly.

“Little eager?” He asked in a sly voice, eyes crinkling in amusement.

You rolled your eyes at his comment, the corners of your lips turning up into a small smile. You had missed his deep chuckle, the sound was truly music to your ears.

“You’ve been gone for months, it’s only natural for me to want you close” You admitted to him, feeling your cheeks turn a soft pink.

“As long as you don’t mind me not letting you go” Calum retorted with a grin. “Because now that I’m home, I’m not letting you get further away from me then you are right now”

You peered down at the very little space separating you from Calum, it was very little, most of your body was pressed up against his. The warmth that he carried with him was now spreading through your body, that was a feeling you would give anything for to feel forever.

“I can deal with that” You giggled as you pushed your body up by the tips of your toes, just brushing your lips against his.

You could feel his breath fanning against your lips, the warm air left a shiver to run down your spine. Calum tilted his head slightly as he locked his lips with yours, his plump lips feeling soft against yours. The kiss was slow and warm, both Calum’s and your affection was clearly present. You let your hands move to Calum’s lower back, slipping underneath the soft white cotton shirt he was wearing, hands spreading out and fingers digging into the warm skin. Calum’s long fingers tugged softly at the strands of hair that had fallen from your bun, wrapping the strands around his fingers. Throughout the kiss the both of you could feel each other smiling against each others lips, happy to have each other back in your arms.
