Hello Everyone,
Thank you all for your support, excitement and confirming your presence on Facebook for this event. We are very excited to have you all at this event. Just a few points about our FREE ADMISSION Holi Hai 2013: This is NOT an event where you will be DRENCHED in COLORS.... its an introduction to colors, to the concept of Holi festival from India.It is an event where NYC Bhangra Dance Company is providing a platform to new artists to showcase their talent on stage. We will be having more than just colors, there will be food, dance performances, musical bands playing, raffle prizes , Bhangra dance lesson, photography contest (more info coming soon) ,art workshop for kids and more ... PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THIS TO BE AN EVENT WHERE YOU WILL DROWN YOURSELF IN COLORS. YOU WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO SMEAR COLOR ON ONE ANOTHER, NOT SHOWER IT ON PEOPLE. AND NO COLORS FROM OUTSIDE WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE PREMISES. NYC Park's and Recreation make this event possible for NYC Bhangra to showcase Indian culture. We have to maintain the beauty of the Dag Hammarskjold Park as we continue to celebrate Holi Hai in its 4th year. Thank you for reading this message. I appreciate it !
