Tatsumi: Once again, it appears my regular check-up had no issues this time…

It’s been a while since I last made a comeback as an idol, but I’m relieved to see my leg hasn’t been affected.

The doctor said my leg is most likely doing better because “ALKALOID’s” activities are progressing smoothly. It was great to hear that.

They do say it’s all mental, after all. Perhaps my body is reacting in accordance to that…♪

It’s also completely autumn now.

I think I’ll buy a hot drink from the vending machine and warm up before heading home. It would ruin everything if I were to catch a cold.

There should be a vending machine over the– Oh?

Eichi: …Kazehaya-kun?

Tatsumi: What a coincidence, Eichi-san. Are you also here for your regular check-up?

Eichi: Yeah. Recently, I’ve had my hands full managing idols as well as working as one, so I’ve been told to have regular check-ups at the hospital.

You must be here to see how your leg is doing, right? How was it?

Tatsumi: Hehe. My leg is doing great, thank you for asking.

According to my doctor’s opinion…

Perhaps one of the reasons why my leg is doing better is because our activities as “ALKALOID” have been going well.

Eichi: Right. You also achieved your dream of participating in “Underland”.

Great job there. “ALKALOID” has indeed grown so much over these past few months.

Tatsumi: Thank you very much. But we still have much to learn.

“ALKALOID” is in the midst of growing. If we were to be self-conceited, then we’d receive another ultimatum from you, Eichi-san.

Eichi: Ahaha. I won’t do the same thing twice.

But it puts my mind at ease to hear you say that.

It brings me much joy to see you overcome your injury and make a comeback.

I’d love to see you perform before me again… Perhaps you could try planning “ALKALOID’s” next concert?

It’s common for Yumenosaki idols to come up with their own performances, but things are different at Reimei… I’d love to see what you come up with sometime in the future.

Tatsumi: Is that a direct order? Or simply your personal interest in another co-worker?

Eichi: Hehe. I see you’re wary of me. Naturally, if “ALKALOID” –the card soldiers– would like that to be an order, then I’ll make it just that.

I love idols with all my heart. You were one referred to as the problem child of the revolution that took place at Reimei Academy, so it wouldn’t be strange of me to want to see your full strengths, no?

Tatsumi: That’s all in the past. Right now, I am simply a member of “ALKALOID”.

My current goal is to continue delivering wonderful performances with the other members of “ALKALOID”.

Eichi: Hehe. You don’t need to be so reserved. You can be the protagonist of a story, a planner or producer if you so wish it – you can be anything.

Aira: Hmm~... I think I said too much to Tattsun-senpai yesterday.

I initially told him he could do whatever he wanted, but I ended up saying all those things to him. I’m the worst…

Hiiro: …………

Aira: Wait a minute! You weren’t listening to me, were you, Hiro-kun!?

Hiiro: …Oh, sorry, Aira. It’s nice and warm today, so I’m a bit out of it.

But I know what you were talking about. You were talking about Tatsumi-senpai, right?

That’s all you’ve been talking about since yesterday, so I remember. You kept saying how you wanted to apologise to him.

Aira: D–Don’t say it so calmly like that. You’re making it sound like I’ve been repeating myself since yesterday…! Well, I guess that is true, though.

Tattsun-senpai was so kind to support me during “Feather Touch”, so I feel bad that I gave him my opinion on something trivial.

Hiiro: I don’t think it bothers Tatsumi-senpai that much.

Aira: It bothers me!

*Sigh* Hiro-kun won’t listen when I’m talking to him and Mayo-san isn’t around… What should I do with my emotions…?

Hiiro: Don’t feel so down, Aira.

I’m sure our suspicions would’ve still remained if we went through with that version of “UNDYING”.

You said what you wanted to say and Tatsumi-senpai respected your opinion. You can just leave it at that, right?

Aira: Don’t make it sound so simple~...

Mayoi: Hiiro-san, Aira-san. So you two were here…!

Aira: Eeek!? A head has poked out of the hedge!?

Hiiro: It’s just Mayoi-senpai.

Aira: Oh, it’s Mayo-san… you gave me a fright.

Mayoi: Uuu, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry. I startled you, didn’t I…?

Aira: Yeah. You’re elusive as always, huh.

So what were you doing in the hedge? Is it comfortable there?

Hiiro: How novel. Shall I try it out as well?

Mayoi: No, it’s not comfortable at all! It’s prickly and it feels strange, so there’s no need for you to be in here! I shall come out myselffff!

I… think I said some horrible things to Tatsumi-san yesterday. So it’s been on my mind since.

What do you two think? Was it really careless of me to say those things!?

Aira: Oh, well…

Hiiro: Hehe. It seems both Aira and Mayoi-senpai had the same troubles.

Mayoi: You two, Aira-san…?

Hiiro: Indeed. It’s also been bothering Aira since yesterday.

But I don’t think you two need to worry. Giving our frank opinions is also something necessary as we’re in a unit together.

Aira: No no, your mindset is just on another level… He’s someone who has actual achievements to his name.

It was rude of me to give him my opinion.

Mayoi: I completely understand! It was rather rude of me to say those things to him as well…!

I was reflecting on the things I had said during the day before bed… I was in such a gloomy mood, wondering why I said those things! 

Aira: Yeah, I know, right!?

Hiiro: Hmm. I feel as though we’ve gone off on a tangent.

I’ll call Tatsumi-senpai to come over on “Hallhands”...

Aira: Wait, what’re you doing, Hiro-kun? Why’re you calling Tattsun-senpai here!?

Hiiro: I thought it would be best to ask Tatsumi-senpai his thoughts on the matter.

You want to know what he thought when we gave him our opinions, right?

Mayoi: Eeek…! I–I’m not mentally ready yet!

And what if Tatsumi-san says he felt uncomfortable after hearing our opinions…?

Noooo…! I’m so sorry for being aliveeee!

Aira: Ah! Mayo-san’s panicking and circling the hedge! Hurry and delete your message to Tattsun-senpai, Hiro-kun!

Hiiro: Huh? Okay, I’ll delete it then.

I thought it would be best to ask Tatsumi-senpai his thoughts on the matter himself, but I see. So my actions were something bad.

I’ll delete the message– Oh? It’s already been read.

He says, “I’m sorry. I was doing some thinking, so I shall meet up with you all tomorrow.”

Aira: Geeeeeez, Hiro-kun! What have you done!?

Tattsun-senpai is very clearly upset after seeing that message! I didn’t want this to happen…!

Mayoi: I’m scared of tomorrow! I hope it’ll never come!

Hiiro: I didn’t know it was this bad… I’m sorry for sending him a message before understanding the situation.

But I’m sure it’ll be okay.

He’s been an idol far longer than we have. He’s been thinking about how to be an idol since his solo days.

So I’m sure he understands what we want to convey in our opinions too.

He understands what we want to say, but he doesn’t want to ignore our opinions, so that’s probably why his ideas turned out weird.

Aira: …Yeah.

Tattsun-senpai is always working hard for someone’s sake.

It looks like he started this whole project because of what Tenshouin-senpai said to him too. He must be having a hard time juggling the expectations other people have for him and the things he wants to do, right?

Mayoi: Which means… our opinions only served to confuse him further.

Hmm. On second thought, was it really okay for him to agree to our opinions yesterday…?

Aira: But even if he didn’t, do you think he would be happy with that?

He took in our opinions and removed the horror elements…

Mayoi: Then would it be best if he kept the first version of it…?

Hiiro: I don’t think that’s quite right, either.

I think Tatsumi-senpai needs to face his own voice.

This is something he decided to do. In the end, he has to be the one to decide – it won’t be the will of a god or our opinions.

Tatsumi: …………

HOLISTIC HOLIC - The Saint and The Dead: Chapter 2

Characters: Hiiro, Aira, Mayoi & Tatsumi

Hiiro: “UNDYING”...?

Aira: What does that mean? 

Tatsumi: It means “immortal”.

I once injured myself to the point of retirement.

But there were many fans who still supported me despite that.

And the people I met after I was hospitalised – the patients, doctors and nurses – they all prayed for my comeback.

Tatsumi Kazehaya will not perish. I’d like to convey those feelings by holding a concert.

Aira: That’s a really cool concept…♪

Hiiro: Come to think of it, you were working as a solo idol before we formed a unit, huh.

I’m sure the fans who have been supporting you for a long time will be happy.

Mayoi: I–I also think it’s a great concept.

It’s very honest – much like yourself, Tatsumi-san… I think it’ll meet their expectations and make them happy.

M–My apologies. I’m not in any position to decide whether or not it’s in character for you, am I…!?

Tatsumi: No, no. I appreciate you saying that.

I wasn’t sure whether or not this concept would be properly conveyed to you all.

Mayoi: ?

Tatsumi: I’d actually like to incorporate my own personal experiences into the “UNDYING” concert.

Hiiro: Your own personal experiences…?

Tatsumi: Yes. I believe this will be my first time telling you all this story.

I met a ghost while I was hospitalised.

Aira: A–A–A–A ghost…!?

Stop right there! It’s not some horror story, is it…?

Tatsumi: Hehe. I haven’t said anything yet. Please don’t be so afraid.

There were rumours floating around that there were ghost sightings in the ward I was hospitalised in. Even the patients were talking about it and an investigation was also conducted.

Back then, even though I was in low spirits because of my injury, I still had to confront the ghost.

I was only able to muster the courage to face my rehab because we became companions.

If I were to offer such an intriguing story to the fans, then it would also create a topic of interest among them – it would be hitting two birds with one stone.

I figured a story about death and rebirth would be rather fitting for me.

Hiiro: Death and rebirth… That’s quite a magnificent theme.

Mayoi: By the way, what happened to the ghost rumours? It has piqued my interest.

Aira: Eeek!? Why would you bring that up again, Mayo-san!?

I’m definitely not listening to this! I’m gonna block my ears…!

Hiiro: Hmm, so you’re not a fan of scary stories, Aira? You really enjoyed “ES Halloween”, so I thought you liked these sorts of things.

Aira: This is different! I love seeing idols all dressed up for Halloween, but I don’t like ghosts!

Hiiro: Then, would you like me to listen to Tatsumi-senpai’s story and then tell you the non-scary parts?

Aira: No, you don’t need to do that much for me! Knowing you, you’re definitely gonna trigger some of my fears, Hiro-kun…!

Tatsumi: Aira-san, please, rest assured. It’s not that scary of a tale.

I simply heard someone singing at night at the hospital.

Aira: Eeek…!

Mayoi: Someone singing?

Tatsumi: Yes. Every night, I could hear a child singing in the hospital. But whenever I went in the direction of the voice, there was no one there.

I searched for the child several times, but I couldn’t find them. Even when the entire hospital staff went on a search, the source of the voice could not be found.

And so, the rumours of a ghost singing at the hospital came to exist.

But I was saved by that voice when I was in low spirits while I was hospitalised.

The singing of a ghost that had once died was my pillar of support.

It’s a bit strange, but I was in despair, thinking my days as an idol were over, but after hearing that ghost’s singing, it made me wonder if I could sing again.

I’d like to incorporate this story into the concert somehow to make it more enjoyable for everyone, but…

I don’t have any experience planning a concert that’s based on a story, so I’m currently pondering how I can do that.

Mayoi: It’s certainly not a very common type of concert.

But I think the concert will turn out to be a wonderful one if you follow your instincts, Tatsumi-san. I’m just simply helping out, after all…

Hiiro: “ALKALOID” can only be “ALKALOID” with the four of us here. I respect your intentions, Tatsumi-senpai – I’ll do everything I can to lend a hand.

Aira: Y–You don’t have to choose such a scary story… Uuu, I’m getting chills…!

Tatsumi: Hmm. Perhaps I should use another story then?

Aira: No, I’ll help out too.

I don’t really like scary things, but you also supported me when I was planning “Feather Touch”, Tattsun-senpai…

Besides, it’s also something that ended up saving you, so I wanna help. It makes me feel like I need to do things properly.

B–But let’s not have too many scary stage effects!

After all, one of your charm points is that you have this kindness that envelops everyone… If you’re too scary, then the people who come to see the concert will also think your image is different.

Tatsumi: Naturally, I’ll think of you as one of my fans, Aira-san, and I’ll hold back in that regard. Please don’t hesitate to tell me if it’s too much, alright?

…Once the proposal for “UNDYING” has been completed, I’ll go over everything once more.

In order for everyone to enjoy the concert, I’ll be sure to be quite meticulous about the scary factors.

Tatsumi: “Our concert is coming to a close soon. We’ve prepared a new song for this concert.”

“Please listen to ‘UNDYING HOLY LOVE’.”

Hiiro: “♪~♪~♪”

(“UNDYING HOLY LOVE” is a song that lasts just one night, but also a song of prayer that promises eternity.)

(It’s a wonderful song that spells out Tatsumi-senpai’s feelings.)

(We’ve come a long way to reach where we are. If only I was a more reliable leader – I feel so bad.)

Hiiro: (I’m going to work hard every day so that I can become a leader Tatsumi-senpai can easily rely on.)

(I might still be unreliable now and I still don’t have enough experience, so I might disappoint people.)

(But even so, I want to face them.)

(Because I really, really like “ALKALOID” and everyone in it.)

Aira: “♪~”

(Ahaha, this is so much fun!)

(I was anxious, wondering how it’ll all turn out in the end, but everything has wrapped up so nicely ♪)

(Is this also all thanks to me? …Just kidding, there’s no way I’d get that carried away.)

(But I hope my experience from “Feather Touch” was even a little bit helpful…)

(They were far too bright for me – someone who lived deep underneath the ground – and there were times where I wanted to look away.)

(But “ALKALOID” is my home.)

(...Hehe, I can feel it even if we’re apart. I can feel everyone doing their utmost and showing the audience what they’re capable of.)

(I was too focused on the past when I was coming up with ideas for “UNDYING” and ended up causing everyone a lot of trouble.)

(But I thank you all for pointing me on the right path and for singing this song of undying feelings alongside me.)

(I’m doing well. I’m surrounded by such lovely people and despite being told I’d never be an idol again, here I am – standing atop a stage.)

(You were the one that helped me take that first step forward.)

Tatsumi: (I hope you can beat your illness and can sing your life–, no your songs.)

(I once lost my life as an idol…)

(I could only regain that because of my fans who patiently waited for my comeback.)

(And it’s also thanks to the members of “ALKALOID” who walked side by side with me.)

Kouga: You sure seem to be in good spirits, Kazehaya-senpai.

I bet it’s because your “HOLIC” concert was a success. Am I right?

Tatsumi: I’m sorry, was I being a bother?

It’s not good for emotions to show so easily on the face, right? I can’t help but relax when I’m in my own room.

Kouga: Nah, I don’t care ‘bout stuff like that. You’re just overthinkin’ it.

I was watching “HOLIC” at the office.

Everyone felt so alive and full of energy. It made me wanna be on stage too.

…Well, I also liked that imperfect vibe you had during “UNDYING” too, though.

Tatsumi: I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. I spent quite some time mulling over it.

Thank you for your suggestions back then.

And I’m sorry for not taking them into consideration, Kouga-san.

Kouga: It’s fine. You were makin’ such a gloomy face in here, so I couldn’t stand back and watch ya do that, ya know? ♪

Tatsumi: Hehe. You were a great help. It’s rare for me to rely on someone, you see.

Kouga: Yeah. I can tell since we share the same room, but you’re always worrying about it on your own, huh.

How about you try dog therapy? People will just yap and yap. I can teach you a few ways of how you can relax with dogs.

Tatsumi: I suppose you’re right. That sounds like a great idea… I tend to have a strong sense of responsibility, after all.

This part of me may never be fixed, but even so, little by little…

Aira: Tattsun-senpai! It’s almost time for our meeting! We’re reviewing our concert, remember?

I’ve already booked a meeting room for us, so let’s go together!

Mayoi: I’ve brought tea and snacks, so let’s watch the concert archive while we have some food…♪

Tatsumi: …Oh, it’s time already?

I’d like to gradually change.

Even if people’s ways of thinking and emotions are complex, even if it’s something baffling…

I love the sorts of interactions and exchanges that take place between people.

Kouga: Between people, huh…

Well, I guess that’s fine? It sounds like a pain, but it also sure sounds a million times better than being treated like some inhuman god.

Tatsumi: ? Did I talk to you about that, Kouga-san?

Kouga: ? No, I just knew someone who was like that before.

They were put on a pedestal by the people around them and was caught up in somethin’ real annoying.

Anyway, your companions are calling for you. Don’t you have to go?

Tatsumi: You’re right. I’ll ask you what you thought of “HOLIC” another time…

HOLISTIC HOLIC - Epilogue 1

Characters: Hiiro, Aira, Mayoi & Tatsumi

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ< A few days later. “HOLIC” concert venue. >

Mayoi: The vibes of the venue sure are amazing… It’s an abandoned hospital, isn’t it?

Tatsumi: Yes. It’s a stage set up to look like a hospital, to be precise.

The parts were things created for this year’s Halloween events, so I’m just borrowing it for the concert.

Hiiro: Come to think of it, you said there was a place you had in mind where you wanted to hold the concert for “HOLIC”, right?

Was there a reason why you wanted to hold it here of all places?

It seems pretty eerie if you’re just wanting to thank the hospital staff.

Tatsumi: Right. Aira-san said before that he wanted the concert to be something exciting like “ES Halloween”, didn't he?

Because of that, our new song turned out to be one which makes people think of Halloween.

But the word Halloween is originally derived from “All Hallow’s Eve” – it’s the evening before All Hallow’s Day and dedicated to remember the saints.

Previously at Reimei, I was called a “saint” and was treated as such by some people.

I once shouldered all those expectations of me and ended up in an unexpected accident that caused me to lose everything…

That was the beginning of the story of my death and rebirth.

So even though this abandoned hospital stage is also used for Halloween, it’s also a symbol for my “rebirth”.

Somewhere along the way, “All Hallow’s Eve” turned into “Halloween” – a completely different event – so in some people’s eyes, it can also be viewed as a story of rebirth.

Aira: Ahaha… Tattsun-senpai, sometimes your thinking is a bit too complicated for me.

But this will be a “ES Halloween” for all those people watching from the hospital, right?

That sounds so lovely ♪

Tatsumi: A halloween just for those patients, hm…?

Aira-san, that’s a great way of thinking.

Also, Mayoi-san and Hiiro-san, I must thank you for everything you’ve done for me.

I can be too serious at times, so I can end up quite stiff and rigid.

But I’m blessed to be surrounded by sympathetic people who can understand me inside and out.

Mayoi: N–No, I didn’t do anything at all… 

On the other hand, Hiiro-san and Aira-san continued to provide you with suggestions and you considered those suggestions, so that’s amazing in itself…!

Hiiro: Hehe. You don’t need to be so humble, Mayoi-senpai.

You really guided us for the performance. You turned it from something abstract into something realistic.

Aira also knows a lot about idols, so he had so many great ideas. It was just a case of having the right people for the right job, right?

Aira: Ehehe. You can leave all idol-related matters to me!

I’m a member of “ALKALOID” and a true-blue idol otaku at the same time after all ☆

Hiiro: Indeed. Thank you so much, Aira!

Aira: Hm, it kinda annoys me when I hear other people saying that about me.

Hiiro: Did that count as an insult? It’s so hard to tell…

Tatsumi: Hehe. I see you two are getting along as fine as ever.

Aira-san is great at planning, Mayoi-san supports everyone while Hiiro-san leads and guides us all…

It sounds like a unit that was put together with office employees in mind – all the pieces of the puzzle fit together nicely.

It’s like an encounter God had organised – a fateful encounter indeed ♪

Oh… it’s almost time for the concert to begin.

I have one final request before we start.

I’m not good at relying on others, so I’d like to practise relying on other people, but would it be alright if I ask you all to be my practice partners?

I learnt something after this project. I cannot say I have completely changed after my past injury.

I still brood over my issues on my own and cannot easily rely and ask others for help.

However, just as you all are growing ever so steadily, I too thought I must learn from my mistakes.

Hiiro: Of course that’s fine, Tatsumi-senpai.

We’re still in the midst of growing and maturing.

But that’s not a bad thing. We’re going to become something even bigger in the future.

Even if we cry over an injury or experience a huge setback, as long as our will doesn’t waver, then we can get back up over and over again – being reborn in the process.

I think you’re already living proof of that, Tatsumi-senpai.

As we get more experiences, we’ll grow into a stronger and kinder unit.

Our concert today marks our very first step towards that.

Tatsumi: ————

Aira: (Woah… Tatsumi-senpai is amazing. He has almost perfected everything for “HOLIC”.)

(He was also really enthusiastic during the recording for our new song. I guess it really is different when you’re working on a performance that you planned yourself, huh.)

Tatsumi: …Aira-san? Is there something you want to point out about my dance?

Aira: Oh, no no. I was just captivated by your performance since it was so great.

It would be ridiculous of me to point out something in your skills, Tattsun-senpai.

You’re perfect every time, so if anything, I’m the one who needs to make sure I don’t drag everyone else behind.

Mayoi: It’s alright, Aira-san. You won’t be compared unfavourably to Tatsumi-san, so… please have confidence in yourself.

I–I know it might be strange hearing this from me, but I think as long as you’re confident on stage, then your performance will be a great one…!

And if you’re fine with me, I’ll be more than happy to teach you the parts you’re struggling with…

Hiiro: Mayoi-senpai’s a great teacher, after all. I think I might take him up on that offer.

Tatsumi: I’d love to have Mayoi-san teach me as well ♪ It’s difficult to see how you look from the audience’s point of view, after all.

Mayoi: N–Not all at once, please!

And I’m sure you’re well aware of how you look from the audience’s perspective, Tatsumi-san!

Tatsumi: Hehe. After all, I learnt this time around that I should rely on those around me more.

It’s a bad habit of mine to brood over my issues on my own. Therefore, I thought it would be best to begin relying on those closest to me first.

Hiiro: Indeed. Taking that very first step is the most important.

One of the best parts about being in a unit is that you can rely on your companions and work hard together.

I’m going to do my best to master our new song so that I don’t lose to you as well, Tatsumi-senpai.

I still can’t dance as well as you do, but I’m going to work hard to be a leader that you can easily rely on.

Aira: That’s a really bold thing to say. 

Hiiro: Hm? Did I say something to anger you again, Aira?

Aira: Well~ We’re still newbies so I’d be embarrassed, bragging like that.

Hiiro: Hehe. But you’re the one that sings about how we should be confident and brag to others in “You’re Speculation”, Aira ♪

Aira: Hmm. I guess there’s nothing I can say back at that…

Well, you’ve gotta work that hard, Hiro-kun, or else it’s not gonna be worth it for Tattsun-senpai to rely on you.

It’s good to have a sense of responsibility too. In terms of TPO, now is probably the best time to declare all that.

Mayoi: Yes. The current “ALKALOID” only exists because of how Hiiro-san has guided us.

Let’s also do our best to support the both of them from behind…♪

Aira: Yeah!

Tatsumi: Here are your tickets, fresh off the press.

Yes. I did send a copy to your email before, but I decided to print the same ones.

I won’t lie and say they’re not handmade, but I’d be happy if the patients would accept these as a gift to commemorate the concert.

It’s completely fine to livestream the concert within the hospital, so I hope everything goes well on the day.

You must be very busy too, doctor, so I shall take my leave.

Tatsumi: That voice… don’t tell me–

Is she here, doctor?

…I see. So she has visited the hospital for a check-up after her surgery.

So that’s why you asked me to deliver the tickets in person… You even told me to come at this specific time…

You told her to come because you want me to give her a surprise?

I thank you for the wonderful plan. I had wanted to express my gratitude to her once more.

I’d like to reminisce about past memories and ask her what songs she’s singing now as we renew old friendships.

Tatsumi: How about “HOLIC”?

Aira: Ho…lic?

Tatsumi: Yes. It means an “addiction”. “ALKALOID” has the meanings of poison and medicine as well.

“Holic” can also refer to “being engrossed” in something too. So we can use it to mean the fans are engrossed in our concert.

Mayoi: I see…

It’s quite light compared to “undying”. But I think it’ll be an enjoyable theme – one where we don’t have to strain ourselves ♪

Tatsumi: That’s my wish as well. It’s surprisingly difficult to see what’s good and bad about your own planning on your own.

Hehe. So far, we’ve been mostly accepting work offers after applying for them, so this is new and refreshing.

I’ve learnt that planning skills are very different from being an idol and performer.

I also think being in a unit provides us with wonderful opportunities to experience new things.

Your advice was also very helpful, Aira-san. I think I’ve now gained a whole new perspective after bringing our heads together as a team.

Aira: Nah, I didn’t do anything special.

I’m just the kind of person who can’t plan a concert I want to do unless I think about it myself.

Hiiro: You don’t have to think of yourself so lowly, Aira. You’re skilled and have plenty of charms too.

Our unit is made up of geniuses from different fields. Although, it’s true Tatsumi-senpai has more experience as an idol and has always been ahead.

But everyone here has a piece of something they can bring to the table. By bringing all those things together, we can become even stronger.

That’s the best part of being in a unit.

Hmm. “The patients at the hospital want to see your concert, so please send a copy of the “HOLIC” DVD once it’s out”?

Of course. But it’ll take a while for the DVD to come out, so I’m considering a livestream as well.

…My apologies. I should’ve spoken to you regarding the details earlier, so I apologise for doing so at such a strange time.

Indeed. This concert is also held because I wanted to show my appreciation for everyone who took care of me while I was hospitalised.

I was hoping for a way for them to see it even if they couldn’t come to the venue in person.

Tatsumi: “–And that was ‘Kazeyaha-senpai’s Confessional!”

“What did everyone think? Were we able to provide good life advice?”

“We must thank our guest today as well for his unique suggestions.”

“I can be somewhat hard-headed at times, so it must be quite enlightening to see things from another perspective ♪”

“What did you think of the answer we reached together?”

Hiiro: “Well, the staff were laughing their heads off, so I don’t know if my opinion is right or wrong, but…”

“I realised that it’s most important to think about the answer carefully after observing you, Tatsumi-senpai.”

“He is the kind of person who can offer his everything to others – that’s what I felt.”

Tatsumi: “Ahaha. You’re overexaggerating. …But thank you.”

Hiiro: “Alright, the radio show’s almost coming to an end, so it’s time for the closing segment.”

“I’ll talk a little about what ‘ALKALOID’ has been up to recently.”

“Up until now,  ‘ALKALOID’ has been taking part in a variety of different things, but…”

“We’re currently planning a concert that’s centred around Tatsumi-senpai.”

“Tatsumi-senpai overcame his big injury and returned to the stage as an idol. We’re planning on holding a concert to show our appreciation for him.”

“And he apparently wants to invite someone he spent time with at the hospital to the concert.”

Tatsumi: “I thank you all for everything you’ve done for me back then. I was crushed by my injury, both mentally and physically…”

“I was able to do my best in my rehab thanks to everyone’s kindness.”

“I’d love to convey my feelings of appreciation in our next song, but…”

“Unfortunately, I didn’t get the contact details of the people I spent time with back then, so I wanted to use this opportunity to reach out.”

“If you were one of those people, please contact me through the radio show.”

“Naturally, this goes for not only the past fans, but for the new fans too – I would love it if you were to come and see us when our next concert has been announced.”

Hiiro: “Hehe. Let’s do our best to give our thanks to everyone during the concert, Tatsumi-senpai.”

“We’re looking forward to your future correspondences.”

Tatsumi: “...It’s almost time for the ending. It’s a shame but ‘Kazehaya-senpai’s Confessional!’ has come to an end today.”

“This radio show was brought to you by your host, Tatsumi Kazehaya, and…”

Hiiro: “Hiiro Amagi.”

Tatsumi: “See you all next time ♪”

Tatsumi: …Thank you for your hard work today, Hiiro-san.

Thanks to you being the guest today, the radio show went by peacefully.

Hiiro: No no. It’s all thanks to you guiding me and creating a space for me to speak freely.

I hope your message reaches her.

Tatsumi: Indeed. I gave it a try and said everything I wanted to say. All that’s left is to focus on revising the performance.

Hiiro: Is there anything I can help with?

You have a lot more experience and knowledge than I do and I know it might be hard to ask me for help, especially regarding concerts.

But I hope you can rely on me more – just like when we looked for the ghost together at the hospital and today, on the radio show.

I’m worried about you, as the leader.

Tatsumi: …Hehe.

What a coincidence. I was thinking of asking everyone for help as well.

Hiiro: You too, Tatsumi-senpai?

Tatsumi: Yes. You asked me if you could help with anything yesterday too, didn’t you?

I ended up overthinking things and couldn’t see the big picture.

But if I shared these feelings with everyone else, then perhaps I can start seeing things differently…

Then I can share my sentiments while also creating a performance for one specific person. That’s what I thought.

Hiiro: Yeah. We don’t know what our fans will think, but I’m sure the planning will be a success as long as you stay true to yourself, Tatsumi-senpai.

And surely, the person who you want these feelings to reach will be there too.

Tatsumi: It makes me relieved to see you give me your seal of approval.

I’d be happy if we could plan the concert together as “ALKALOID”. And I hope I can properly express my intentions on top of that.

Hiiro: Indeed. I’ll do my best to help and I’m sure Aira and Mayoi-senpai feel the same way as well.

So let’s think about our concert together – the four of us.

Tatsumi: Yes. Thank you – you’ve been a great help.

You’ve changed, Hiiro-san.

Hiiro: I have?

Tatsumi: Yes. I suppose you’ve changed since “Underland”– no, since “Motor Show”.

At first, I thought you were simply a headstrong and innocent child who gazed at idols with bright eyes of admiration.

But little by little, you’ve started becoming more and more aware of what it means to be a leader. You’ve grown so much.

You’re the irreplaceable leader of “ALKALOID” now.

Hiiro: Hehe. Hearing you say those things about me makes me feel pretty shy, Tatsumi-senpai…♪

But I feel the same way towards you guys.

I could only be a leader because I had people like Captain Nagumo and you guys with me.

All those people helped guide me.

So now, it’s my turn.

They do say strike while the iron’s hot, so let’s meet up with Aira and Mayoi-senpai and get things going for “UNDYING”.

I have a feeling we’ll be able to come up with something awesome right now ♪

Tatsumi: You’ve become so reliable, Hiiro-san.

I believe my tale of rebirth will be conveyed to many, many people through “ALKALOID”.

We’re not only showing that Tatsumi Kazehaya is “undying”, but we’re also telling them that I had gained something much more important. I believe the concert will be a lovely one.
