All on the table || Selfpara/Haise
Blaise's foot was tapping so nervously he was sure that he was rocking the car just a little bit. The camping trip that his probation officer had sent him on had gone extremely well, he might even admit that it was pretty interesting, but that's only because he has a secret interest in those sorts of things. But now he was finally coming home and he'd be able to see Holly, the girlfriend whom he had nervously been missing since the moment he last left her. Their date from the days previous still replayed in his mind over and over. She had looked so beautiful and so...raw. He got to see the Holly that not many others saw that night and he would give the world and more just to see it again.
He didn't realize he was speeding until he almost ran into the Hallowell's mailbox upon turning into their driveway. As he parked the car, he noticed that Holly's carwas missing from it's usual spot in the driveway. Knowing that she'd be back soon, he got out of his car and went inside to wait, waving a hello to her parents and popping his head into Caroline's room to say hello as he passed by.
As he laid down on Holly's bed, contemplating taking a nap while he waited because for all he knew, Holly could be on a roadtrip right now. He was just about to close his eyes when he spotted something on the bedside table that sparked his curiousity. Letters? Her name scribed in neat, boyish handwriting on the front? Blaise picked one of them up and turned it over, wondering who it was from, before pulling out the letter inside the envelope and opening it. He didn't even get a third of the way through it before it dropped from his shaking fingers.
Craig? The smart yet withdrawn kid that he'd seen in the halls at school? Blaise didn't even take time to think, he couldn't. If he thought, that meant immediate pain would follow the poisoned thoughts that were trying to break into the front of his mind. He had to keep himself from slamming the door as he hurried downstairs and back down to his car. And yet, as much control as he was putting his concentration into, he couldn't stop his car tires from screeching as he slammed his foot and the gas and retreated as fast and as far as he could from Holly Hallowell's house.
