Welcome to HollywoodU & High School Story Appreciation Week

(or #HWUHSSAW for kinda short?)

As you may have heard, Pixelberry is saying goodbye to their two original gaming apps HollywoodU and High School Story (the app, not the Choices books which were inspired by the app). They will be removed and shut down on August 10th.

Most people in the Choices fandom may not be familiar with them as neither app has been updated in years. However, there are some who still remember these amazing apps.

This appreciation week is a little different than others. There are no specific prompts, no character days, and no types of content restrictions. Maybe your favorite character was only in one quest. Or your favorite storyline was some holiday event. Great! I want to keep this AW as open as possible so not limit anyone.

You can write fan fiction, create a drawing, commission some art, reminisce on your favorite moments, make moodboards, write about what the game(s) meant to you, share how the app has changed your life/helped you... basically anything related to these two amazing games.

I simply ask that you are kind to one another, tag triggers and nsfw appropriately, but mostly just have fun.

Tag this blog and/or my personal one (@lovealexhunt) and I'll share all content sent to me during that week and then post a masterlist shortly after.

When you get an email in your work account (I work at a College) and it’s from a Thomas Hunt. My first reaction was “how did choices get my work email and what kind of promotion is this?! Red Carpet Diaries and HollywoodU are done.” Lmfaooooo 😂😂 and hell yes Thomas Hunt was my love interest. 😍

I just reloaded Hollywood U and dang does this hurt. I stopped playing when Choices came out, but man, it’s so strange seeing the characters again. I hardly remember how to play, but I’ll relearn.
