In 2075 AD The Moon is populated with approximately 3 million people, more than half of which are male. The lot that make up the Loonies (the Moon People) are culled from rejects of Earth (criminals, political refugees, etc) and their decedents. Due to the unbalance in the sexes, it is common for a wife to have more than one husband. Lunar life is run by a master computer, which has become self-aware. A revolution starts on the Moon and the Federated Nations of Earth send armies to put the uprising down. (The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, BK)
