While I do probably have some vague relatives in Bavaria somewhere, I’m not in touch with them.  My dad’s part of the family came across the pond around 1902, so we kinda lost track of the ones who stayed.  The wedding I went to this time was actually a friend of the family.  (My family had a couple of German exchange students about 20yrs ago during my high school years, and we’re still good friends with them.)

Yep.  It's been months, and I'm still not used to it.  On weekends I revert to a 4am-12pm sleeping schedule, and by the time I'm back in the rhythm of 11pm-6:30 it's the weekend again.  Bah.
