I have always love Yoga, my fascination came from Yoga Journal. I love seeing beautiful beings in Zen like places. To me this is where I want to be. So it came to my surprise upon doing research that yoga is more than pretty postures. My thirst for deeper knowledge craved to know more about philosophy of yoga. And I came to find the Eight Limbs of Yoga. This week I am studying Ahimsa which is loving kindness to all beings :nonviolence This mean not to injure or show cruelty to any creature or any person in any way whatsoever. Ahimsa is, however, more than just lack of violence as adapted in yoga. It means kindness, friendliness, and thoughtful consideration of other people and things. It also has to do with our duties and responsibilities too. Ahimsa implies that in every situation we should adopt a considerate attitude and do no harm. How can we bring about more compassion in our lives? When someone cuts you off in traffic, or is rude to you. Instead of reacting , Respond with loving kindness and compassion. This does not mean you are to be pushed over. Set energetic boundaries from people and situations that do serve you. Everyone on the planet is searching for thier their own version of happiness and are suffering on some level. When we move more into our heart space and less of the ego we will see we are not separate. Everyone and everything in The Universe is connected. Let us practice in our day to day life kindness to ALL beings on the planet I hope this helps you deepen your practice off the Mat, and see beyond the veil into our true nature In Love In Light In Peace ☯🌎 #yoginiintraining #yogalove #vegansofinstagram #yogaeverydamnday #health #vegan #holsitichealing #ahimsa
