Ahaha that moment when:
Reading through your notes app, looking for a particular scene you jotted some ideas down about.
Curiously, it takes you a LONG time to find it.
Wondering, you copy and paste all your notes into a word doc to see how many words you got brewing
Guys… 30,434 words in NOTES holy shit!
Now to try and convalesce them into actual chapters!

1) What made you start writing for the first time?
Oh jeez. I’ve been writing my whole life? I think the first thing I ever wrote was a fiction news report to broadcast to my toys as a kid. It was about a tiger poached from the local zoo by two men and Cruella D’Ville had been the mastermind. I was like, five. I started to really put myself into writing around the age of 10 though, when I wrote ‘books’ for class (an assignment) and the teacher told me I had talent.
2) If you could only write about the ocean, the forest, or the desert for the rest of your life, which one would you pick?
Forest, hands down. So much diversity in life, so vast and spread and we are constantly making new discoveries. Plus I love trees. I like to hike. The ocean is beautiful but terrifies me. I’ve lived in deserts and also find them remarkably beautiful, but it’s forest all the way for me.
3)Would you ever write a memoir?
Lmao. If I ever did anything noteworthy, maybe.
4)Do you like writing by hand, or writing with a computer?
I like both. I tend to write a lot of things by hand and then transcribe them into word documents. It’s easier for me. But I also spend a ton of time drafting on my laptop.
5)Would you rather be popular among many readers, or unpopular, but loved by critics?
Popular among readers, hands down. 1) There aren’t enough critics to pay my rent. 2) Readers are more loyal and diverse. 3) I prefer to hear from readers. 4) I’m not aiming to be Hemingway, I’d rather be a cult favorite or critically unimportant troll who makes me people feels things.
6)Do you listen to music while you write? What is the best writing music?
I do! Or a show I’ve heard six million times (I’m looking at you Gravity Falls and Futurama). I have so many playlists and also just give myself over to the gods of Pandora. I find the energy of the music helps influence what I write, so my favored artists or genres change based on my needs.
7)Do people you’ve met find their way into your writing?
Yes, in ways. I’ve done actual self-insert stories that used the names and likenesses of people I’ve met. I’ve also developed characters based on people. I find myself mostly influenced my events or personalities now, though. I try not to name-drop because I can’t afford to get sued.
