OH MY GODDDDD
A man wearing a mask with a left prosthetic arm knocks on the door, leaving behind an open box at the doorstep before running off. Upon further inspection to the box revealed cut pieces of an aloe vera plant sealed in a airtight bag, as well as a wide bottle full of aloe vera gel. Above the bottle is a folded letter
You know, aloe vera always stuck me as a rather interesting plant when it came to flower language. You see Aloe Vera has commonly been used in a lot of medicines, however it also has an extremely bitter taste. It was thought that this painful bitterness was gained from acute sorrow it caused within the soul. Because of this it literally means bitterness in Victorian flower language, but it also has come to mean sorrow and grief. I always found it rather odd that a medicinal plant should receive such a negative reputation because some people could not handle it.
The plant's main purpose is to cure burns and scars. I also found that people's ideas that it would soothe wounds to be faulty, as the cold it feels of is just as harmful as the pain of the wound. The thing is, no matter what I or other people believe, it is a medicinal plant. It helps, and if you endure the cold and the pain and even the bitter sorrow it will grant you, it will one day come to soothe those scars, even if it will never be rid of them.
One last thing. Aloe Vera has these little spikes at the end I always found rather pointless as I could never think of any way to hurt myself with them. But of course one day my hand slipped and I cut a gas across my hand. One thing I think both of us will come to find, is that good things seem more sorrowful than bad things when they hurt us. But if we give them a chance, then they can soothe is greater than anything else. Remember this one thing, most people are too distracted by his size to realize he can be a nervous coward at times, but he truly means the best for you in ways you would think are idiotic, if you want the good in him you will have to extract it like the gel inside an aloe vera.
Signed The name Lazarus is covered with a sticker of a wolf - 🐺
(He hears the knock on the door, his brow creasing. Cedric must’ve left for a moment- surely. He went up to the door and opened, confused as he looked around. No sign of anyone, and yet..
He looked down at the box.
The fuck..?
He picks it up, eyeing the note before taking one last look around and stepping back inside.
He heads into his old room, sitting on the edge as he reads through the note.
Even without the name, he knows what this is about.
He scowls a bit.)
‘Dunno ‘bout that one, Laz..
(He mutters, putting the note back in the box as he takes out the bottle of Aloe.)
But much appreciated, neverth’less.
