It's particularly silly to me bc they also consistently show that it's possible to safely harvest meat from several pokemon species while they're alive, which has no irl equivalent (lizard tails do not grow back perfectly and it's very stressful for a lizard to drop a tail if they're able).
Yeah, but it was also shown to be unethical or bad in GSC/HGSS when you had to stop Team Rocket from doing that. It’s really confusing mixed message here.
