John the Baptist River

From Tel Aviv we travelled to our next city. During the bus tour we did a number of tourist stops. 

First stop was John the Baptist River which was believed where John the Baptist baptised Jesus. While we were there many people enter the river and got baptised. Some people splashed some water on them. I also touched the water. Apparently, the water there was considered Holy.

Cambodia was really beautiful and full of history. We did a quick stop at Ta Keo, or The Unfinished or Unlucky Temple as it’s known because the story says that when they were almost done constructing the temple lightning stroke the building and the people in charge thought that was a very bad omen and left it unfinished and it remained abandoned ever since. • Ta Keo had to be the state temple of Jayavarman V, son of Rajendravarman, who had built Pre Rup.
