All Tied Up ~~ [Homas]

Tom had just gotten off work and was now taking Gilly over to the park to let her stretch her legs and play a bit of frisbee, just the two of ‘em. With the puppies running about, they didn’t get a lot of time together these days. Tom wanted to make sure that she still knew she was special to him. So, to the park it was. Though, not the dog park. There wasn’t enough room to really get a good run in there. They were just out in the open, Tom throwing the frisbee for Gilly and Gilly chasing after it at top speed, catching it in the air.
He whooped and hollered, encouraging Gilly onwards. Tom wanted to make sure that she stayed nice and fit and healthy, even after having the pups.
Gilly was just taking off after the frisbee when she spotted a new target: a friend in the shape of a small rat dog.
“Shit,” Tom cursed under his breath and took off at a jog too. Gilly was, of course, faster, and got there a few seconds before Tom managed.
“Gilly!” he called and huffed. “Sorry!” he said to the owner of the smaller dog. “She doesn’t mean any har--”
Tom was close enough now that he stopped short in front of the scene of Gilly chasing the smaller dog about who was yipping and tucking its tail as its own spun, trying her best not to get tangled in the leash. Tom jumped into the fray, trying to swipe at Gilly, but missing, only managing to get his ankle caught in the leash, tugging him forward so he didn’t trip.
His body slammed into the woman’s, though her managed to grab her and keep them upright as the leash wrapped once, twice, three times around their calves, leaving them both slipping and sliding on the gravel path.
“Oh!” Tom said, still holding the woman--Holley, he had not recognized her before, too focused on the dogs--by the shoulders.
“Well, uh--sorry about this,” he chuckled.
The small dog, now on a short leash with nowhere to go, trembled while Gilly sniffed at her.
