A fresh and sweet pear and elderflower martini to kick off Saturday afternoon 🍸

An evening of good brews and some Handmaid's Tale...
A Sangria of Ice and Fire
So, as with most things in life, I’m in on this late. One’s favorite people die, horrible rapey things keep happening in Westeros. This will make you not care about all that, and focus on the important things, like dragons, zombies, and gratuitous breasts-n-bums.
Smokey mezcal served chilled with the blood of innocent vitis vinifera to sweeten the deal. Best served with friends (IE don’t drink the whole bottle yourself. Red wine is a Lannister, it always pays its debts the following morning).
Step 1: Add ice to your jar. Put in 3 oz or so of dark red wine. If you want to go sweet and chewy with a flair for the dramatic, get an old vine Zin. See also: Cabernet.
Step 2: 1/2 ounce smoky Mezcal. Use more for Daenerys-heavy episodes.
Step 3: Splash of OJ to make life bearable. Put the lid on your jar and shake it, but gently. We’ve all suffered enough.
