Baking bread

Fresh baked bread on Saturday mornings is pretty much what it’s all about, if I’m being honest.

I made dill pickle sourdough bread and I am so so excited for it!!!! My scoring didn't work properly because it's a little over proofed 😬 the internet told me using pickle juice would make it rise slower and that was not the case 😂😂😂 the pickle juice made it rise faster somehow! I think I might try making grilled cheese with this 🤔😍

While I was out running Hubby had been to the dump to drop off our trailer load of green waste. He had been to the nursery and bought plants and he had put on a loaf of bread to cook. When I arrived back from my run and walked around the corner into the vegetable garden he handed me a reel of soak hose to hold. The council are going to start charging for water so Hubs is working on rain water collection and distribution of the collected water. I think he will have it all sorted by the time the water charges start.

I wish someone else appart from me would like Back to Gaya! Specially because I've been busy looking up for a new job and doing house chores so I haven't been able to draw much.

And I had no luck with job searching either...

But when I feel sad or stressed I bake, and it makes me feel better, so here what I did today ^^

Is sweet bread with nuts and cherries

A recipe of my own I invented. The first lot was this one but I realized the dough spreads all over the table as you can see, so the second lot I made molds for them with aluminum paper, because I have no real molds XD

Here, the second lot looks a lot better.
