When you cook, keep the tips/leaves/peals of vegetables.
Here you can see trimmings from onion & garlic, mushroom tips, eggplant and zucchini.
I am keeping all of this in my fridge until I have a few more vegetables (I would like some carrots), and then will show you how to make vegetable broth !
The water comes from rinsed rice or quinoa. When I rinse the grains, I keep the water for my plants : it’s a good fertilizer (the grains were organic).
This is better for your health if you can afford organic produce, since all pesticides are kept in the tips/the leaves/the outer space of the vegetable.
