Hi! In regards to the anon noticing the tense changes in TSOA, I remember punkrockpatroclus (post/118485685203/so-like-i-met-madeline-miller) asked Madeline about this when she met her, and she said that this was because she meant it to be told after Patroclus' death, so he would switch to the present tense even when talking about the past because it was a particularly vivid memory for him ... so there's a pretty much canon explanation!

i go through the same thing just about every day, but this week i had to do a social thing and found that focusing on other people tends to help! remember your past memories and enjoy the moment instead of looking down on yourself <3

I managed to keep my mood up during the entire evening actually :D. Like there were some moments that got a bit difficult, but it helped by the fact that I felt I was fittingly dressed and that a lot of things were going on (dinner, performances, speeches and joking from the teachers) so it kept my mind off things ^^. It’s mostly difficult whenever I dress up around my friends because it automatically becomes a bit about looks (like it’s all positive but it makes me overthink stuff :/) BUT IT TURNED OUT WELL and thanks for the support and advice once again :)

... idk if you're into marvel but 'daredevil' (13 ep show) on netflix is really good, it has earnt points on various areas of representation which reminded me of Steven Universe - just a future rec! :)

And thank you for your rec, I’ve actually been planning to watch it sometime! :D It seems rly interesting and is all over my dash. I have a bunch of stuff to watch but it is definitely on my list! It sounds very promising to have it recommended :)

I'm not completely caught up either, I've just started s3 and i saw spoilers :/ His character goes through a lot in all seasons, and oh man their relationship!! is the only thing apart from Lagertha that completes the show for me </3

YEAH. SAME TBH. That’s why I feel so bummed out about this turn of events.. it’s gonna take a lot to get me to get the motivation to continue watching it again :/. Their relationship was tbh something I usually checked on every week even if I didn’t get around to watch the eps, since I enjoyed it a lot and I loved to see where it went and how it developed

As I said I’m not caught up but I’ve read some stuff and I feel like I have a pretty good idea what’s going on. Why though. WHY IS THIS A THING? Like I’ve passed the initial disbelief and I’m tbh just a bit mad?? Idk maybe it is different if you watch it but it feels atm like a waste both of a good character and relationship???? I’M UPSET I REMEMBER WHEN I SAW THE FIRST EPS OF SEASON 1 AND NOW WE’RE HERE?

You have all been such amazing support you guys! All your well wishes meant a lot to me! I woke up this morning to find all these replies and it gave me a huge confidence boost!

And guess what? I got the job. Or well, I got some time to think about it but they really wanted me to work there. I now assume they haven’t claled a lot of people for interview, AND I JUST FEEL BLESSED TBH. I wasn’t prepared for such good response so quickly? Like I also got a GREAt experience of jobinterviews in the future. 

ANYWAYS GUYS I JUST WANNA SAY THAT HAVING YOUR SUPPORT MEANT A LOT FOR ME TODAY AND YOU ARE ALL WONDERFUL.

oh man… i’ve nearly finished watching kings and i feel like my heart’s been ripped out even more than by political animals… seb always manages to be so mesmerising yet tragic at the same time :( good luck!

oh god political animals made me cry enough idk if i can cope with this!!!!!! seb's characters are all so beautiful and sad and ugH GOD
