I always have loved making things with my kids. I'm a crafter myself so love activities that help my kids also be creative and maybe learn something sciency while doing it too. Today we made sidewalk paint. It's quite easy to make using things right in your pantry/art supply cabinet (if you happen to have one of those 😉). It's also washable and goes a long way. It's not the easiest to store for later so maybe make small batches of different colors to start. I say waste not, want not.

So you want equal parts cornstarch and water (for ex: 1/2cup corn starch and 1/2 cup water). Then you can add food coloring/washable paint/washable glow in the dark paint until its your desired shade. Stir it up and voila! Start painting!!!

We used a variety of washable paints. I like the way the neon paints come out best.

I even had fun with this. It was actually quite relaxing to sit outside and paint. I of course painted a mermaid 🧜‍♀️ haha.

Homemade play dough fun 💖 measure into a saucepan ➕ 1 c flour ➕ 1/2 c salt ➕ 2 T oil ➕ 2 T cream of tartar ➕ 1 c water ➕ a few drops of food colouring ✔️ cook in a sauce pan stirring until it forms a dough. Tip out & divide into 2 for 2 different colours, then kneed in colour.
