We’ve mostly been doing the 3Rs over here these first few weeks of summer (all the while I keep thinking we.must.finish SOTW soon!!). . . But what can I say... aside from being outdoors & beaching 🏖 they haven’t been very focused or caring much about making it down to hang out with Ziggy (our AAR zebra, whose also a makeshift curtain holder 🖤) most days lately. . . During times like this when summer fever 🌞is full blast, I scale back to the 3Rs... and table the rest. You can also get to those at bedtime... Catching up on posting some summer + family memories. This summer was the year of the pool 🏊‍♀️ 🏊 we spent most of our days simplifying our days by avoiding long commutes + planning...going to far off destinations (even the 30-40 min shore). The parking and everything else usually causes so much unnecessary stress.. so instead we enjoyed local attractions + events instead. . . We also had a chance to get some good use out of all of the pool toys we’ve accumulated through the years. #homeschooltea on rotation ☕️kind of monsoon, cloudy, ⛅️last weeks of summer kind of day ... . . We’ve been doing about 4 to 5 ish subjects a day lately... (5on a good day where the weather is like this and boredom hits..). 4 on sunny summer full days with poolside lounging, sun filled games, and exploring.. On those days, every family member picks their subject of choice (even the dog!). . . So for instance, M picks writing, E picks math, I pick reading, and Sahara our corgi would pick History, Science or Spelling since it’s on a cubby... we place her in front of to sniff out as he choice 🐕. . .
