you are now techincally unemployed, with your stagnant schedule and cheri's busy one. do you think you will be lonely? if so, what woudl you do if that loneliness makes you petty, jealous or envious of what cheri has? because you were the one caught and not her?
“well, damn. no punches held back here, huh? i mean, yeah... didn’t think about it that way but i am unemployed. or was.” he’s not the type to stay jobless for long, not when he likes to run around the way he does. it just took him longer to get back on his feet this time, to agree to a new type of schedule when he was ready to rest for a few months the way he did after leaving nova— more like, pretended to, if you ask mijoo. she’s one of the only ones who knows how busy he kept himself then. to stay sane, he oughta’ do the same now.
“i don’t know what i would do if it made me petty, jealous, or envious... but that’s mostly ‘cause i can’t see myself as that type of person. i’m proud of her, of her career and how luxe is doing. about being caught... that was my own damn fault,” and that last sentence might be the most bitter one he’s spoken in the last few weeks for reasons. “i’m glad it was me and not her. i’ll say that as long as i live if i have to. i’d rather not, ‘cause you know, gotta make a living and all that but if anyone is gonna keep going on as an idol, it’s her. she’s meant to be one. me? i don’t know if i’m meant to be anything.”
it comes out more hesitant than he intends and he’s pausing after, wetting his lips as he tries laughing it off, head tilting to the side. “as for loneliness? we were apart already. whether i’m an idol, whether it’s only her, but especially when it’s both of us. that comes with this life. i’m not gonna give her reasons to worry about me getting lonely now as if i didn’t know this is how it is. i feel bad when people aren’t used to it. i saw it happen with a friend of mine. it sucks but... understanding each other is key.”
