HoneybeaT is a band that’s been around since 2008, and they sometimes show a heavy influence of Shiina Ringo/Tokyo Jihen. Nita’s singing voice has a very similar nasally/slightly abrasive timbre. (See a playlist of their Shiina Ringo/TJ covers at YT)  

The song Seperti Magician is from their 2nd album, Oyasha. (released late 2012)

Based in Depok/Jakarta. Full-time members are: Nita Akhsana-Voc/melodica, Catur Cahya-Gtr/Synth, Kautsar-Keys, Gema Mahardhika-Bass, Andos Madjid-Drums. Support musicians: Citra Pertiwi-B. voc, Akbar Muhibar-B. voc, Dovi Martindas-Sax, James Yornan-Trumpet.  

Listening links: YouTube, SoundCloud. Their 3rd album Unit 109 (2015) is on Tanukineiri Records (Japan) bandcamp. The style is more disco pop than their earlier material, not as jazzy.

I'm super confused. Maybe it was explained and I'm just too dumb to realize it. With the preface that the recent "origins" special explained enough to make me want to watch the whole damn thing over again to see what I no pick up, I now present my question. Was the whole Rarity and Fluttershy relationship thing a ploy? Part of them playing up their "quirkiness" for Twilight's benefit? Because during the VDay special Rarity was talking pretty hetero. I was like "What about Fluttershy!" RIP OTP
