I find danger attractive, to an extent. I am constantly craving what I should not touch. This goes not only for people, but for situations and ideas. I remember being nearly incapacitated by intimidation when I was looking for the Marquis de Sade in City Lights Books - both due to fear of onlookers’ judgement and trepidation toward the ideas I was seeking out (along with the sordid history behind them). The vulnerability and adrenaline at these little moments is intoxicating.
