Surprise Addition!
So most of you guys know that there's been a really bad outbreak of Flesh Change going round lately and that Thousand Sons are super super susceptible, which resulted in one of my little buddies catching it.
Losing Casmekh was super hard even if he was a little shit at times so I just want to thank everyone for their support.
Jasteel is still in isolation and is still clean, but losing Casmekh hit him hard especially since he's of the Apothecary variant. Poor guy's been off his food and crying at all hours of the night.
Then, well, I woke up one morning to a Night Lord perched on my curtain rail.
I don't own a Night Lord. Well, I do now!
He looked feral, and nobody's reported one missing, so I got my gardening gloves and a broom and basket...and utterly failed to catch him. He's a speedy little fucker and stays up high.
I only managed to catch him when I found him in the room I'm isolating Jasteel in, eating Jasteel's honey and dates(I know I know, but honey and dates are Jasteel's favourite treats and like I said he's been refusing food so I thought better he eat treats than nothing at all).
Funnily enough, Jasteel was very calm around the intruder, and was even 'checking' him. Which for those who don't know is an Apothecary Variant thing where they assess the health of Astartes around them(it is NOT a packbonding thing like it is for Scout Sergeants and new parents).
And, the Night Lord was completely calm about being checked out? I got him into a carrier ready to be checked out at the vet anyway but I think they've just really hit it off? Jasteel I can understand, he's lonely, but I've heard that Night Lord's are very picky about fellow Astartes? And even if they've bonded, Night Lords play very rough and I'm worried Jasteel won't be up for that?
My area unfortunately has a low tolerance for certain 'Violent Antisocial Breeds' which includes Night Lords, so there's no chance of a No-Kill Shelter.
I want to take the little guy in, particularly if he stays pretty friendly, but I'm used to Thousand Sons who are pretty low-maintenance, relatively, and aren't messy at all.
