Qi Men Hong Cha 祁門紅茶/紅毛峰 Sweet with aroma of honey and rose, full body with gentle tannins. Qi Men Hong Cha means red tea from Qi Men, a township in China that belongs to the greater Huang Shan mountain range. This region has an excellent ecosystem and provides natural shading to the tea trees, which enhances the umami notes in the tea. The combination of this top terroir with the indigenous Chu Ye varietals is what results in a Qi Men Hong Cha that is bold and aromatic with notes of honey and rose. Our Early Spring 2015 vintage comes from Li Xi, a 1000-year old ancient village which is the top terroir for this tea. Situated right in the protected natural reserve Gu Niu Jiang, Li Xi teas are elegantly sweet with clean finish and fine tannins. #redtea #qimen #hongmaofeng (at Tea Drunk) https://www.instagram.com/p/B-h6r1Elshb/?igshid=14j8gmz9qrj32
