Yaya congratulations! I'll never understand why companies are so reluctant in these situations. If they keep track about their financial situation they should be able to offer good people a permanent position on the spot. But instead they wait and wait and eventually risk losing valued employees. Well, their bad! Hope the new job will bring lots of fun and new things to learn for you

I’m kind of in a similar position right now, right at the beginning. Have an appointment with my boss at the beginning of next month and if he doesn’t tell me what I want to hear I guess I’ll have to look for something else as well. So scary! I wish you the best of luck at your new work in December!
thank you, @littlegrayfishes! :) Yeah, I don’t know what’s up with all that either....like, dude. I was so cheap, from the company’s point of view. and I would have stayed anyway. if they end up having to hire someone new for my position after realizing that oh yeah, we do in fact need an additional person here, like my boss has been telling them for about 3 years - whoever that new person is, they’ll be much more expensive. plus of course the whole recruiting process etc. buuuut whatever.
and @honigobst, it is very scary! :( but if they don’t value you the way you think would be appropriate and don’t give you what you need, there’s really no other choice, I guess. so, best of luck to you as well! may you find a super nice new place to work :)
