this was born out of my need to call kevin my bbygorl
Oh to be a researcher for World Serpent and trying to make Kevin Kaslana more approachable.
No one really is sure why you are acting like this. Kevin is a man as deadly a he is cold. He makes people feel unnerved by simply existing in the same space as him, intimidating them by his deadly gaze and stoic face.
He is a man that is hanging on by a thin thread, he had lost any hopes and dreams long ago and now is running by pure instinct to make sure to finish everything once and for all.
An iceberg stranded on the horizon so far away. Unapproachable and meant to remain alone until the very end...
So why are you prancing all around him so excited, tugging on his coat or poking his skin earning yourself a frostbite?
Maybe he should known it from the start, when the other members took to calling him 'Sire' - how they put him once again on a pedestal so high up - you always were the more casual one. He simply thought it to be just a you thing, a simple characteristic that differentiated you along the sea of other fools working for World Serpent.
So he simply never paid it a mind.
But then you went psychical. Which as it had been given a proof before - is NOT a good idea.
His body temperature was harmful to others. So usually people just kept their hands to themselves once they learned their lesson.
"It took me a while to figure out how to weave this finer, but it seems to be holding out fine..." You muttered bringing Kevin's face closer to you. Your fingers nimbly squeezing his cheeks.
The man stood rigid... Or rather leaned closer to you, his shoulders tense to the surprising action.
You decided to try to create a fabric that would allow him to touch others without freezing them to death.
A fools errand truly. It had been done before, however eons ago and using way different methods - ones that do not exist in this world.
Kevin must have been having a good day as he decided to humor you this once. Could it be because you were reminding him of a refreshing soul he knew back there? Or perhaps was it because your touch had been so tender and delicate it made his locked up heart tremble? It's been so long since he had been last touched without anyone wanting to harm him...
"Is it working?" He asked to which you smiled brightly. Your eyes were so clear and full of light he could see his own wretched reflection in them.
"Nope!" You exclaimed. However you didn't seem to look pained. "Or maybe a little? The effect seemed to be slowed down. Oh! My hands are getting numb now."
And yet you refused to release him, once again putting yourself in harm's way to simply placate your curiosity.
Should he move first? Should he be more direct and just tell you off? It's obvious that you hold onto an image of Kevin Kaslana that he never would become.
It would make everything easier to him. Unnecessary attachments cause only troubles - so it's just easier to let you go.
However the selfish voice inside him whispers to make use out of you. To erase wounds caused by the loneliness he felt so far. You are willing and obviously there is a feeling budding inside of you. This explains your need to be so close to him.
Unconsciously he leaned into your warm hands, eyes closing for a mere second. Untill now you were constantly talking about your half baked invention, yet just now you fell silent.
What a view. You though amazed. You never saw your leader this relaxed before! Well... maybe 'relaxed' isn't a good word to describe it but it's close enough.
Your cheeks felt warm, seeing him like that felt wrong. Like you weren't meant to actually see it.
But you'll selfishly take anything Kevin Kaslana has to offer. This poor man doesn't have much left, that's why you'll preserve any memory you have on him - be it a happy, sad or a bitter one.
A small smile bloomed on your lips, your poor hands ached out of sheer cold.
You wished the upcoming frostbite would leave a scar on your fingers, a silly simple mark of his existence.
