No Choice || Hongki & Jaehyun
With your eyes closed one could easily mistake the sound of heavy rain drumming against car roofs and pavement for busy feet making their way through the crowd they would have been a part of. However, the streets were naked, absolutely empty except for the few unfortunate souls who either wouldn’t let some rain be in the way of their plans or simply had someone else keeping them from hiding within their own four walls.
Jaehyun belonged to the latter.
Heavy breaths and loud voices drowned the sound of rain pouring down and water splashing under their feet, and one could only wonder why nobody was standing with their head out of the window to see what the commotion was all about. Of course nobody cared, neither would the raven haired male if he hadn’t been a main component of the problem. If he wasn’t the one running away from four guys with arms thrice the size of his own then he, too, would be sitting with a cup of hot chocolate despite the warm and humid summer weather.
This combination of thick and humid air was toxic to someone as Jaehyun, someone who so clearly didn’t spend an excessive amount of time at the gym and he wanted to take a break, he needed it. Every single muscle was burning and breathing for air but for once his primitive instincts kicked in and screamed run, so he did. He turned every corner there was to turn, pushed abandoned bicycles to the ground, which emitted a shrill sound of metal scraping against concrete and was followed by a groan when the shortest of the four tripped over a pastel blue one.
He turned yet another corner and that was all he could before he fell to the ground, desperately heaving for air. His entire body was shaking, it had officially given up and all he could do now was sit there and chuckle humourlessly at his own panicking state while listening to the sound of footsteps gradually getting louder and louder.
